Boca Taqueria NE Mesa — Restaurant in Mesa

Used to love this place. My wife still does.

The portions used to be bigger, staff used be very patient and friendly. That’s no longer the case at all.

The last 4 times I’ve ordered from there the order has been either completely wrong, or food has been missing from what I ordered. We go because my wife loves it. We both get the exact same thing most of the time.

Last night was the last straw. We ordered a bean burrito for my wife and I ordered the enchilada meal, 2 enchiladas with beans and rice. When the order came out I had 1 enchilada with beans and rice. And it was written on the container “1E”, however my receipts says “2 enchiladas”...how does that get messed up? That’s a standard meal on the menu.

The staff was friendly enough. But when I asked about the 2nd enchilada they told me I’d have to purchase a single enchilada. I showed them the receipt and they acted like I was in the wrong. I’ll never go back to this...

Have eaten here for years, tonight was the first time the service was horrible. (Cashier repeated the order back correctly but when they brought it out it was wrong and my order wasn't even made, so i sat there watching everyone eat while I waited for mine. The staff was rude and unfriendly. The lady that brought out our chips and all but threw them on the table with 2 tiny plastic containers of salsa seriously held like 1T of salsa for 1 basket of chips, which I might add was supposed to be a bag of chips, but they got that wrong as well. Because of their error they brought out another basket w 2 more teeny tiny salsas. When we asked for more salsa they said we had to pay for a bigger bowl. 8 bucks later (not kidding) we had more salsa. So sad this place has gone down hill.. I will say once we got the food it was good.. even tho it wasn't correct and we had to put in alot of...

Stopped here to get a simple To Go order and staff was not warm not attentive. Guy at the register was the nicest. Got my order and was only given 3 small containers of salsa for an entire bag of chips! When I asked for 3 more I was given a lot like I asked for $20 dollars and then was reluctantly handed only 2 more and told to have a good day... To add insult the chips were ice cold after waiting 10mins. What in the heck! Very poor service compared to when I was coming before. If the price needs to increase to account for providing a customer adequate salsa than do that vs. putting your customers in a position to ask and then treat them poorly for doing so.

On a positive note the tortilla soup is very good. Small size for the price...
