City Electric Supply Mesa — Local services in Mesa

I just called City Electrical Supply to get some information on light fixtures that we have specified for a High School Classroom Addition. I am an architect and I have to find a substitute for approximately 130 light fixtures. I need the correct cut sheets and I need to find replacements. The person I spoke to at City Electrical Supply was not willing to provide any info because there is no guarantee that our GC will buy from them. He refused to even open a dialog with me. I suggest that this is the equivalent of any store that doesn't want to talk to a potential client until they reach the cashier and pull out their wallet. He tried to explain to me that this is how the industry works which is not true. The employee was rude and condescending. I will never call this company again and I would suggest that anyone who wants a good customer client relationship look elsewhere for service. I actually just talked with someone at Graybar Electrical Supply and I was pleased to find that they are more then happy to help us find just what we need. I intend on setting up a meeting with Graybar to find out all the different ways that they can help us meet the needs of our clients. Don't bother calling City Electrical Supply as they obviously don't really care about doing business in a friendly team...

These guys are great! Not only did they have the parts I needed, their prices were very good (especially compared to the extreme markup of a competitor on specialty parts), and everyone was very friendly and informative! I am dealing with a complex electrical issue that is beyond my skill level and they were able to provide a few recommendations for expert technicians in the field! I was also surprised to see some of the specialty tools I needed, and could not find at other hardware stores. An example is 4" Milwaukee carbide hole saw. CES has the best prices in the valley and if you are an electrical contractor, this is your branch. Travis is my outside sales and he goes way above and beyond to make sure we maximize profits and are happy. Frank is an excellent manager and this is my branch for life.
