I used to love Garcia's and go often. I hadn't been in awhile, so I went today after my Photoshoot. I am not one to complain often, but my experience today was awful and I hate to say I will not be back! I ordered my usual Steak Fajitas and asked for them to be cooked Medium Rare. I order them with just the skillet, tortillas, and extra cheese.... nothing else. My fajitas came out in less than 10mins which seems too quick. They came out with no cheese and no tortillas. The woman who brought them, I believe, may be the Manager. She looked familiar from my last visit. She said she didn't know if I wanted anything besides the fajitas in the skillet. I got my cheese and tortillas after. I looked at the steak and noticed it was not medium rare, but well done. I felt bad asking my server to take it back. I kid you not, around 2mins later he came back out with a new skillet. How could it be prepared that quickly?! I opened the package to the tortillas to find them what looked to be raw, doughy, stuck together, and chewy....gross and unappetizing. I ate one fajita and asked for another package of tortillas thinking maybe I got a bad batch or corn tortillas....this time I made sure to ask for flower tortillas. To my disgust, they were just as raw as the first batch! I don't know what happened to this place, but they are no longer focused on the quality of their food! My server also never came by to ask me how my food was.

We've been here twice so far & both times the food has been fantastic. The first time we came we ate in restaurant, however this last time we decided to order pick up and eat at a relatives house. Everything was ready quickly, from the point of ordering to when we arrived to grab the food it took about 15 minutes for them to make an order for seven people. Everyone was happy with their food, it was hot, delicious and full of flavor. I can be pretty picky when it comes to chicken at restaurants, but I found it to be cooked perfectly. In fact they have one of my favorite dishes from Mexican restaurants I've tried here in AZ, I love their Pollo Fundido. We also received chips & salsa with our to go order. Everything was a good serving size, many of the dishes come with two sides. I like the consistency of the refried beans they serve, a lot of mexican restaurants tend to serve refried beans that are too thick, not cooked all the way through and don't really have a lot of flavor, but I like the beans they have here. They also have black beans or charro beans if you want something other than refried beans. The chocolate mini chimis were amazing too! It was a nice way to cap off a delicious meal with family.

When we walked in to the entrance, the hostess seemed unhappy/irritated, and didn't even make eye contact with us. It's unprofessional. The table felt sticky, and the restaurant had a weird bathroom smell. I ordered steak fajitas and I usually love the steak fajitas here. The steak had a"Fajita" flavor, however the meat seemed mushy. The meat looked a greyish color looking like they boiled it or something prior to cooking the outside. The steak was poor quality. It reminded me of pulled pork. The crack between the seat and the wall had gunk build up, and the floor was filthy as well. Don't waste your money here.

I have only ever been here once. That day was February 5th 2017, or better known as; the day a modern day miracle occurred. Super bowl 51 featured the New England Patriots vs the Atlanta falcons and Tom Brady was competing for his 5th super bowl ring. Anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong for the Patriots in the first half as they found themselves down 21-3 at halftime. Myself, much like most people watching had turned the channel as it was safe to assume this game was over. Near the end of 3rd quarter, the falcons had a commanding lead of 28-3. Instead of the conversation being, Tom Brady has a chance to be the greatest quarterback of all time, it is now evident to all watching that title still belongs to 4-0 joe Montana as Tom is only 15 minutes away from being 4-3 in super bowls. Then? As the Bible prophesies, Christ began to rise. Within 15 minutes, Tom had willed his team by the grace of God to 25 unanswered points (a super bowl record) and had his team in overtime of a super bowl they had no business being in. As I was driving my 2017 Hyundai accent, I listened intently as the broadcasters announced touchdown after touchdown. I knew I had to get to a TV ASAP. Garcias was the first place I came across that I knew I would be able to witness this resurrection. As I frantically ran inside and rushed to the bar, I was surrounded by strangers that I had never known, but in that moment everyone in that room was whole, and I felt like I had known these people my entire life. They embraced me as we all laid witness to the miracle prophesied. He had done it. Tom had pulled off the unimaginable. The atmosphere in the bar that night was something that can only be described as transcendental. I’m not sure if I will ever come back here, but anytime I ever pass this place. I will be sure to let whoever I am with know that this is the site I saw a modern day...

My husband and I were having one of those nights where don't know what to cook and we just don't want to cook... And since we're still a little new to the area, what better place to try that has all the cars parked in its lot... Garcia's!!

First of all, parking does suck, but I'm sure we have the contractors to blame. I think it may depend on the time and day that you come to eat here but we arrived on a Wednesday night, right in time for dinner rush.

The hostess was very nice, I didn't quite catch her name but we were able to be seated promptly with no wait. The restaurant is very well for indoor and outdoor dining. It was a decently full house inside. We were seated in a booth.

Once we were seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Isaias (hope I'm spelling his name right), who brought us water and also took our drink order. Following him, came a nice lady who brought us our chips and salsa and also a delicious bean dip. My husband ordered a Fajita platter and I chose Olivia's Sampler which came with a variety of mini tacos, flautas, chimichangas to try. It was very tasty, more than I expected this restaurant to be!

Isaias took care of our drunk refills, made sure we had chips and salsa all before we were about to run out. And he wasn't overbearing the way some waiters/waitresses can get (you know those ones that's ask you how's the food when your mouth is full... Yep, I know you know.). When we reached our limit, he even came over with to go boxes without us mentioning it!! He made our visit extra awesome, when he came back with our bill to sign along with chips and salsa readily packed to go, and two cups of soda. The extra step was a nice and unexpected gesture!!

We will definitely come back to eat here and I definitely recommend this place....

Overall, everyone enjoyed their food, but I'm just going to opine on my meal since my three other guests aren't available for comment.

I chose the 3 item combo including a cheese enchilada, tostada and shredded beef taco. The flavor of the beef was outstanding... a noticeably delicious "special" flavor that was generous enough you could taste that special flavor in every bite, along with the fresh lettuce and blend of cheeses sprinkled generously on top. I'm not sure how they prepare their shredded beef, but it was tender and melted in your mouth. The cheese enchilada was pretty much the same as any from other restaurants... no real wow flavors, but was good and the sauce not too spicy. The tostada was disappointing in that it hardly had any refried beans which were spread unevenly across the tostada shell. Granted, I had specifically requested they "not pile so much beans and lettuce that the ingredients end up on my lap", but there's a happy medium they failed to achieve. It just would have been nice had the thin layer of beans been spread across the entire shell, instead of just 2/3rds of it. But the overall flavors were good in the bites that included beans.

The service was adequate, even though certain requests were ignored, however they were very busy, and our server was very friendly.

We'll definitely return to enjoy more options, which will, without a doubt, include their absolutely delicious beef tacos! I just pray that beef flavor never changes. In fact, I'll probably order everything that has their delicious shredded...
