I've been looking for a place to get Pho that's close to home. Pho Leo, fairly recently opened on Main street. With the current light-rail construction, it's easily missed if you're driving by. I'm glad I stopped in. The Pho was excellent! So far I've tried the Pho Tai Chin, Spring rolls, crispy egg rolls, BBQ pork fried rice and BBQ rib dinner. 1. Spring rolls are on par with other good spring rolls I've had. They come with a peanut sauce 2. Crispy egg rolls are served with lettuce, mint leaf and some excellent clear sauce to dip into. 3. The generous portion of Pho was also served with basil, bean sprouts, jalepeno slices, and a lime wedge. Add it all into the piping hot soup and smell the aroma's as the flavors all mix. 4. The BBQ pork fried rice also had eggs, peas and carrots. It's just the right amount of meat to rice ratio. The flavor is smoky and savory. 5. The BBQ rib dinner was also excellent. Served with a nice portion of white rice, cucumbers, and a leafy salad. It also comes with the same clear sauce to dip into. A little fatty but that's to be expected from ribs. Absolutely delicious. To top it all off, the service was excellent with my water never getting below half full and a constant but not annoying check to see if everything was ok. I plan on going back soon to sample even more of their menu.

Hidden gem at the end of the metro line. Who knew that there was such awesome Vietnamese food truly in the East Valley. Located at the corner of Gilbert and Main it's not a trendy neighborhood, in fact it seemed a little bit shady located in a strip mall next to a pawn shop and when we first came in we weren't sure about the smell but once we got into the main restaurant it was very nice and the staff was just lovely and the food stop... There were so many options that we actually didn't even try the Pho. Many have raved about the good flavors and we will try that next time but we opted for a couple of items on the specialty menu. I've included a picture of the menu items we got; a chicken lettuce wrap and the specialty from the north-south in the east of Vietnam which was basically make your own spring rolls with some really interesting meats and sauces. My husband and I are on a lean and green diet so we skipped the noodles but we did splurge a little bit on the rice paper wraps. They have a full page of vegetarian items as well as a number of fried rice or noodle dishes in addition to the pho and the appetizers so the menu was quite extensive. We will definitely go back again soon with friends.

Update 1 3 2025 I'm beyond upset. I've been going here for over 10 years. Ill never be back. The confusion and not even being busy. It's gone to shit. They used to be the spot. Stay far away from this place. The service is trash. Update. 3 10 2024 Hands down favorite PHO on the east side. There's nothing to com0lain about this place. I've been comming here for years and I've been tonprob every PHO restaurant within 40 miles. So we've been to 6 pho spots in the valley. This place smacks. Affordable, delicious, and huge bowls. Don't get the large get the regular! We had egg rolls, chicken pho, and meatballs w steak. They also give bottles of water when u ask for water. That's huge for me. Well be back forsure. Also open on Sundays. Only thing we didn't like was how dark it was inside and they could definitely paint and clean the place up a bit. They prob keep the lights low because of this. Brighten it up and it will be the #1 pho spot in AZ.

Hate to write a bad review here, as many people really like this place. I'd say 4-5 stars for the food, but the service was really bad when I visited. Here's the scoop: So, when I arrived there was only one other customer who was waiting for their to-go food order. I was greeted by the server, and told her the order was to-go. She gave me a menu and disappeared. After about 10 minutes, I was going to walk out, but someone from the back came out asked if the server had taken my order -- I said no. This person disappeared for a few more minutes, then returned and took my order since there was still no sign of the server. This mystery person was not a server, but was super nice and helpful. She took the order, got the food, computed the bill, but when I presented cash she had to find the server for change. After the transaction was complete, the nice person said goodbye, and wished me "Happy Easter" (while the server making change seemed almost angry that she had to do something). I turned to the nice person that did all the work and put a tip right in front of her, looked her in the eye, and said "thanks for helping me out". Then the most amazing thing happened.. the server (who did NOTHING) reached way across the bar and stole the tip from the person I gave it to! Wow! In hindsight, I should have said something, but the action was so crazy, rude, and unexpected that I just walked out amazed at the audacity of the server. I feel sorry for the nice person that has to work around such a person. I have no plans...

My sister and I usually dine in every now and then and hope to give this place chance after chance. But last night was my last time stepping in through those loud bell ringing doors. We waited to be seated for more than 10 mins and the old lady just ignored us when she walked by. Another customer came in and asked how long is the wait, I said I don't know because this place usually ignores customers. He went up to the front and he told the old man that people are waiting to be seated and he was sitting behind the bar just on his cellphone this whole time. Their is a young woman as well but don't bother she won't help you either... Anyways, the food is good do not get me wrong. IF YOU LOVE BAD SERVICE, eat here. You will always feel unwanted by the old lady. She is rude. She will toss the food, drinks, and your checks.... I was waiting for someone to check on us because I needed some assistance. There was also a couple on our right side, the old lady was rude to them as well, treating them the same way she treated us. They need more training on customer service. I woke up this morning and they charged me an EXTRA $10 FOR NO REASON... PEOPLE CHECK YOUR RECIPET AND BANK TRANSACTIONS JUST IN CASE they try to steal from you also...

Unsatisfied/Disappointed customer...

By the way, they charged us for big bowls when we clearly said regular. And they didn't do nothing about it.

Zero...
