I have always wanted to try this place after seeing reviews about it. I finally got my chance last night. When we got there my niece and I were welcomed and waited only for a while for a table. It wasn't crowded but they were spaced apart. There was hand sanitizer on the side walls for easy use and at the main desk. Before we were seated they did their health screening or temp checks. Once we were seated we got the menu. That kinda of threw me off but after I asked questions I understood it. I usually feel like a dummy after asking questions but they made it really understandable. This was not my first kbbq place I've been to but it's menu was different than the others. It seemed we didn't have just one server but everybody that worked there seemed to check up on you every time they passed the table. It made me feel like VIP. Lol. We ordered the beef option and peach soju. The good was delicious and so was the soju. We even invited a friend to come by because she was also interested in going to JINS. When she came they made her feel at home. Like it wasn't a big deal. I'm saying I loved the service. I thought I was great with great food. One of the servers even told us he would get us another bottle of soju on him and left to get it. The guy originally seated us told us that the one that was getting us a bottle of soju was the owner. I thought that was especially nice of him. So even the owner rocks. I loved this experience and food. For the food to price...
Read moreOUTSTANDING! Okay I will start off with my initial impression, no reservations and traveling across country while trying to coordinate a family celebration dinner. I’m on the east coast and they don’t open until 5p.. for you young folks, this may seem easy.. for us older, sickly folks, who are still working.. THIS IS A BIG ASK.. DAY BEFORE. I managed to speak with Justin (more on him soon). I let hi know that our party of 12 would like to reserve seating.. he informs me of their ‘no reservations policy’ but vows to uphold my plans.. DAY OF.. Justin calls me to let me know that he will set up tables and be waiting for us.. ACTUAL RESERVATION. SURPASSES ANY SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED!! Justin and his servers became FAMILY!! THIS WAS THEEE BEST SERVICE I HAVE VER RECEIVED!!! The servers engaged themselves, not noisily but just enough, into the celebration with us! Justin was attentive to our needs, and wants BEFORE we even wanted them! I am sad that I am on the east coast but my family here has vowed to return based simply on the services provided by this business!!
Thank you JIn BBQ for turning what I assumed to be a humble Masters degree celebration into all that you have helped me make it!
I pray this review reaches many! You all made me feel so celebrated and I am forever grateful! Justin you are a GEM!! And a true...
Read moreWe were traveling from out of state and, yep we were fooled by the reviews.. I was debating on several AYCE places vs this place but settled on this place due to their premium offerings and extensive menu. They were priced higher than other places but wanted to treat ourselves with better cuts of meat than served at AYCE places.
Atmosphere is hip and feels like you are in Korea, kinda. But that's where the similarities end. We ordered a few cuts of their premium beef offerings, including their short ribs. Unfortunately, their beef is flavorless and is not up to a high standard despite the high price they charge. They have a large menu but didn't even bother ordering anything else after trying their meat.
Side dishes are acceptable, at best. Corn cheese, macaroni salad, fish cakes, korean hobak, and kimchi... Just some cheap Banchans that don't add anything to the meal.
As a recommenation, please specify serving size of beef (for ex: how many grams), use higher quality beef or lower prices. And you charge $4.99 for extra lettuce. Charging for lettuce at a korean bbq joint is robbery.
Tldr: As a korean, as much as I would like to support this establishment, I honestly wouldn't recommend due to high price and low quality meat. Wouldn't have been so disappointed if we had gone to AYCE because they are at least reasonable...
