Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Mesquite

I pulled up to this location and was shocked to see a Charley's out side of a mall but more so to see an employee smoking right in front where customers are approaching. As we, myself and the employee were going in, another employee was going out the door to smoke, I was shocked! My excitement went to; I am just not sure about this, but I was starving at this point. I went to wash my hands and come to the counter to place my order I must have been there for at least two minutes before anyone came from the back. The female employee finally came to the register and took my order, I asked if she was the cook and she said no, she said that he is the cook, I looked back he was just coming through the door after his smoke. I asked the male cook if he would please wash his hands before preparing my food he did. I watched him prepare my food and was appalled by what I saw. He placed one piece of meat on the grill and very minimal toppings to go on the sandwich. I ordered a chicken Philly cheese with a side fries which was a total of $5.49. I ordered extra mushrooms on my sandwich and it was to my surprise that he took out a few sprigs and put it on my sandwich and I was very hurt when I got my food!! The sandwich look nothing like the sandwiches I would get in the mall it was very small more so like a kid's meal and when I asked him about it he told me well the owner of this establishment proportions out the food and this is how the sandwiches are made. I then realized that this is a franchise and that's why this Charley's is outside of the mall but at the same time you have to accommodate for the customers especially if they pay for extra toppings. I did not get my money's worth and I was very very unhappy and if you do decide to visit this Charley's, consumer beware!! On my way out I picked up my trash and went to dump it and looked over and saw that the trash can was over fillling to a point where the door could not be closed so I left my trash on top of the trash bin and walked out!! So I am giving this particular restaurant a 0 all the way across the board. I will not be visiting this store again! It is to your discretion how you spend your money and where you want to spend it. I ate in the store and realized it was getting colder the longer I stayed. It was my first and last time, I will not be returning to this particular store. I placed an online order it was due to be ready for pick-up at 7:43, I get there and the guy at register had no idea what I was talking about. I give him my last name and told him I ordered online. He couldn’t find my order, then tell me “Oh they have not made it yet”. I waited another 30 minutes, people coming and going with their orders. I finally decide to go to the guy again and asked if they forgot about me?! He looks at me and asks my name again, I tell him Evans, he goes over to a sack of boxes and brings me my food, the fries and sandwich I ordered was cold. I asked for a refund and some guy comes to the register and tells me the refund has to come from corporate. So, I responded asking for corporate number. The guy looks at me and says he is corporate, I am Already beyond frustrated and he wants to play games. I will NEVER go back. HORRIBLE service and I am waiting on my refund! Okay, so do NOT come here. Shannon and this other black lady with an eyebrow piercing have HORRIBLE customer service. I sent my bf to get our food so that when I come home from work it’ll be at the house already… well apparently they didn’t acknowledge him waiting for them to take his order until about 10 minutes. No “give me a second” or “how are you doing, I’ll get back to you”, NOTHING. We’ve eaten here before and the sandwiches were good and service was okay.. this time? You can’t taste the sauce, the meat is DRY, oil and grease was soaked at the bottom of the buns, just a disappointment. Because I get off of work late and they’re closed, I couldn’t go back up there for a refund or to get it remade but I PROMISE I will be up there tomorrow WITH the sandwiches and receipt. I was trying to eat it and just count my losses but I literally was gagging by the fourth bite, it tasted so bad. Most definitely contacting...
