I want to start with the food is great. Excellent Taste. Crust on the calzones was crispy with a good softness to the inside.

Also I want to say that when we arrived at about 1:30pm that there was a party of about 9 in th3 back corner and a party of 6 who all seemed to be loud-ish and demanding which may have been a factor for my experience.

When we entered we were allowed to seat ourselves and the Dining area while able to accommodate a decent number of people is close together and thus we were glad not to be sat in the same vicinity of the louder patrons.

When we ordered nothing we wanted was available. They did not have spinach so the spinach pizza was out and then they didn't have bread sticks.... which didn't make a lot of sense as they apparently make their own dough so that was a little off putting. After we did get am order with items they had we settled on 2 calzones (Hawaiian & Meat Lovers) and garlic cheese bread which was basically a hoagie roll with mozzarella melted on top.

I believe our Waitress who seemed to be working both the to go orders as well as the larger party was flustered so when our cheese bread came to the table 15 minutes after our food we didn't complain but had it been forgotten completely that also would have been okay.

My final assessment is that this place may deserve a second chance as maybe the large party that we noticed had a few large salads may have depleted all the spinach.... but we were really set in that pizza.

It was a Saturday.... maybe their food delivery will be coming on Monday or Tuesday..... I'm willing to get the benefit of the doubt.

But for this visit I will state I was slightly underwhelmed.... its obvious they have a great food product and they do it well..... I may have to make this a to-go option as opposed to a sit down. But I'll give it...

I always debate leaving bad reviews. But... how will places learn? And how will you, a tired traveler, avoid a bad experience? So here goes...

Let's start with the food... I ordered a 12' Pepperoni pizza. The most basic of pizzas. It came out and I was very disappointed - it was following the horrid American formula for pizza - bland, doughy crust, too thick for such a bland taste, very little pepperoni, way to much cheap tasteless cheese, and meh pizza sauce. Frozen from the grocery store is better (and cheaper). Come on guys... use the YouTube and learn some new pizza skills.

Service... I ordered a 12' pizza a couple days ago at Pieology in St. George (highly recommended - see my review). It took... about 6 minutes and I was eating. For less money. This pie took over 1/2 an hour in which time I did not see my server in a lonely restaurant. I had to go find her and ask for more ice tea and where the heck was my pizza??? I got it, sort of wish I hadn't.

Environment... The 70s called and would like you to keep this decor cause it was iffy then and they don't want it back. Come on, a little care goes a long way.

Summary: Keep on driving if on I-15. St George has Bella Maries, Riggattis, and Pieology (covering all pricing/decors).

To the owners... take a pizza sebbatical and upgrade your plan. Mesquite could use a great pizza place and you...

The pizza was a little pricey but looked really good. We were driving to the RV park and had them deliver and just assumed the Margarita Pizza was the traditional Cheese and Basil that you cannot go wrong with, but it had sliced tomato and onion, which my wife does not like. It was our fault for not reading. We called because we thought they delivered the wrong pizza but was told they do things a little different then traditional. I ended up giving to another traveler and they said it was good. So read! The delivery seemed perfect.

Update: we have had their Calzones now a couple times when we are at the RV park at Oasis. They are prompt and the Calzones are amazing! The service is great and the delivery was perfect. We actually can’t wait to stop in Mesquite just so we can order at Bella’s!

Update again, had their Calzones again and this time went to their store. When I went all the youth that took care of me were extremely professional and fast. In an age when most kids I see do not have good work ethics, it was refreshing to see these youth working hard. And again the food...

When traveling we try to eat at local places. We chose this one based on the reviews. But, I think some are a little exaggerated. We had friendly service when ordered and fast delivery to a local hotel. But.... the pizza def needed to cook longer, the crust was soggy. We only ate the cheese and toppings. The wings were so dry, def needed less cook time and couldn't dip them in the ranch sauce; the ranch had an odd flavor, not sure if just cuz off brand but not good. We ordered late afternoon so it wasn't like it was busy dinner time.
