I’m very disappointed with my recent Uber Eats experience. I placed an order earlier today from a restaurant I’ve ordered from multiple times before through the app without any issues—until today.

While I was still waiting for an update from the app about the driver picking up my order, I received a call from the restaurant. The staff told me someone named Someone came in, asked for my order by name, and they handed it over. They assumed it was my delivery driver, but it turns out it was the wrong person. After that, other Uber drivers showed up expecting to pick up my order, but it had already been taken by someone who was not authorized.

What made this experience even more frustrating was that the restaurant told me I needed to contact Uber Eats and resolve it myself, as they weren’t liable—even though they gave my food to the wrong person. I had to call Uber Eats multiple times before I finally received any assistance.

I understand mistakes happen, but this situation felt completely unprofessional. I was left without my food and had to jump through hoops to get help. I hope better protocols can be put in place to ensure orders are only handed off to verified drivers...

Honestly I hate to give this review because I have been there a few times before and a few days ago I had a bad experience. I came to the restaurant around 8:30 and 9:00 in the evening. There was a woman in there that was consistently coughing. I was sitting down at the table and couldn't see but when I got up and looked around the corner she was coughing over the food that she was fixing for me. She was wearing gloves and she put her wrist up to her face to cover the coughing and continued fixing my food. Now there was another guy there fixing my food with her. If she had such a cough she should at least been wearing a mask or stepped away until she could control it. I ordered a taco and some beans. Even though I had already paid for the food I took it home and threw it in the trash cuz I could not eat it in good confidence. It was only 5 bucks so I considered it a donation to the restaurant. I gave it three stars because I've been there 2 times prior with exceptional experience. But my third time was not...

So, I had this place on my list of new places to check out. It did not dissappoint. The service was great, I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. I tried 3 different meats in tacos. Barbacoa, al pastor, and carne asada. They came on a platter with plenty of grilled onions and a slice of grilled jalapeño. The salsa is self serve at a salsa bar and there are several to choose from along with lime wedges, pico de gallo and onions with cilantro. The meats were clean and cooked well. (When I say clean I mean not full of grease or fat) The seasoning was tasty although I would have preferred a bolder flavor. Maybe more seasoning or salt? I guess that would be a preference thing, I probably could have added some salt myself. The seasoning was good though, let me get that straight, I would have just liked more of it.
