Do not go to this subway. Go to the nearby subway, 1200 E Davis St #134. The one on Davis does not disappoint, the one on cartwright however...
They were missing multiple things I wanted (they were somehow basically out of bread?), and though I was first in line I was expected to wait 20+ minutes for vegetables to get chopped? They kind of just stood there confused and frustrated when they realized that I was not gonna say "oh ok you're bad at time management, i guess i'm not getting onions today" so i told them they should help their other customers, too. I expected one of them to go cut vegetables while the other helped the customers... but nope... neither went to chop vegetables... After my half-made sandwich had gone untouched for over 10 minutes, I asked for a 10% discount (price should match the service, and 10% was being nice just to prove a point...). All I got back was a lot of sas, she said "if u want a sandwich u can pay full price" - hey lady if you want customers you have to treat them with compassion and when u waste their time they want to be compensated, it's not my fault you are bad at prepping... it's yours... I walked out, grabbed some golden chick across the street, came back and am eating it here in the subway right now as i write this review, it took all of 7 minutes to leave and come back with two big and goldens (it's not what i wanted but it was cheaper and faster). I will never buy from this subway ever again (and I eat a lot of subway so your loss). Her name was Laura and she was THE MANAGER?? Oh look as I write this I hear her say more things they are out of. Poor kid just wanted a foot long cookie. does she know anything about prep?? bet you this establishment can make $10,000 more each month with a real manager.
When a customer shows up to buy a $15 sandwich, you better just be nice and do what they want. Just go chop the onions, it's...
Read more7:10 pm Saturday, Drove up noticed the restaurant was dim, but open sign was on, although no workers visible. Read the time posted on the door just to be sure and walked in. Saw someone laying down across the bench table along the wall with subway food to confirm they were serving. Perhaps the worker went to the restroom. I checked Google to see if they were open and ironically listed, "Temporarily Closed".
I waited 2 minutes quietly for assistance. The person laying down rolls over, puts his phone down, silently and gets up and walks towards the kitchen prep behind the counter and talks to a female voice sitting on the ground. He walks towards the counter without greeting me. Silently puts on glove as I notice the young girl pop up from the back counter floor. Noting neither washed their hands. No uniform or nametags available. Finally asking what I want, I place my order. Another customer walks in just behind me, but they don't appear eager to assist. I checked out at 7:21, it's not even close to closing time post at 9pm. There should be a closing manager available to assist in customer service. Perhaps the crew is overworked or need an incentive to work. I don't know, this is bizarre. I'm extremely unhappy with my visit. This is unfortunate because I shop here often. Please support and supervise your staff to maintain an open shop when the doors...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would! I am writing this complaint to bring into your notice my experience of a visit that I had this establishment. The concern that I want to bring your attention is poor employee sanitation practice among one of your workers. This evening when I was ordering a sub, I was greeted by a friendly young lady who made my sub. The issue is not her attitude however, the issue is her sanitation when comes to preparing food. Although, I did not say anything at the time of the incident I am truly disgusted by her actions towards how she prepares food which makes me question the cleanliness of this location. The actions that truly disgusted me was when the employee was in the middle of preparing my sub and walked away to address a noise issue at the register. Instead of the employee taking off her gloves to handle the issue she kept the gloves on to address the issue. However, she made the problem worse when she used her gloved hand to pull down her mask to scratch her face near her mouth, readjusted her mask with her contaminated gloves, and then started back preparing my sub without thinking she should change her gloves. This email is not aimed to get anyone in trouble; however, I did want to address this sanitary concern without embarrassing the employee in front of other staff...
