3.31.2023 Buyer BEWARE: After deciding to try a new online seafood seller, I stumbled upon George stone crab. Huge, huge regret. The customer service has been nothing short of awful and what I ordered was not even slightly presentable to my dinner guests. What was meant to be a celebratory dinner turned out to be such an embarrassing presentation. I am truly in shock at how bad these were, down to the broken claws. If you are going to not send what I paid for, at least send completely intact claws! Period.
My wife and I treat ourselves monthly to a nice meal and have ordered these from other seafood companies before. Never in my life have I ever received claws this size. Total embarrassment and truly a dishonest sales practice. The claws I received were roughly slightly larger than a tablespoon and was mainly shell. I contacted GSC immediately upon receiving the order. They followed up requesting pictures, which I sent. They then requested I get a scale and measure the weight of the claws. I opened a dispute with my CC company because this is unfortunate. GSC has not offered any recourse and simply responded stating that due to the number of claws received, the order is correct. I will submit a review on every website so customers are not spending money on something they won't receive. Terribly disappointed. Read the other reviews and you will see this isn't a "one of", this is a scam.

Hello Ollie. How are you? It looks like you have already disputed the charge on March 15th, 2023 and our internal team has already responded to that dispute with the screenshots of our emails, screenshots of the webiste and what was stated to be delivered.
Jumbos are 1-2 claws per pound and based on the fact that you ordered 3 pounds, you were supposed to receive 6-9 claws and you got 8 so your order was correct all along. Also, I see that our last email conversation was Feb 1st, 2023 so about 1 and half months later you decided to do a dispute? Now, I can't stop you from leaving reviews or claiming a dispute but, please know that we can also respond to that and most of the times, we do get the approval on these claims because we shipped the right product.
Since you have already disputed, there is nothing else we can discuss or offer you until the dispute is resolved with both banks. As for the reviews you're posting or will post, we will be there to respond to your false claims as well. We strive every single day to provide the best customer service and the products to our customers but we absolutely do not have anything to offer to threats and false claims.

Read moreWe ordered over $300 worth of crab claws and caviar for a special birthday celebration earlier this month. Their website states that they ship via FedEx overnight. We figured since it was coming from Florida, and we are in Georgia that this would work well. The order took 3 full days to arrive via UPS. The order arrived warm and completely spoiled - so much so that we could smell it through the box before opening. We had contact with George Stone Crab before delivery because we were concerned that it would be inedible if it didn't arrive overnight and they assured us that it would be ok and that if not, they would "make it right". We contacted them as soon as the package arrived, took a picture of it and again, we were told that they would make things right and to give it 7-10 days. They sounded very sincere and we wanted to give them another chance and would take a full credit or refund. Also, we took out the insurance, but because they insisted that they would make things right we didn't file a claim (stupid on our part). It's been now almost 3 weeks since receiving the spoiled box of seafood and we haven't heard anything. Of course too now it is too late to file a claim. Reached out again yesterday and did not hear back. We were really hoping this was a reliable place we could order from. Unacceptable.

Read moreI had ordered 4 Fresh Medium Stone Crab Claw dinners. This should be 6 pounds of Stone Crab Claws. Unfortunately when the package arrived Friday October 22nd at 4:30 pm, I noticed it was light in weight. I opened the box and proceeded to open the styrofoam container to find one order of Medium Stone Crab the did not smell FRESH. ONLY 1.5 pounds in the box and certainly WAS NOT COLD enough. 4 of the 13 claws were mushy and smelled awful. NOT, a great first time experience. I tried to call on Friday but George was closed so I immediately emailed them. On Monday 10/25/21 I was able to contact Eva at customer service who was apologetic and very friendly. Eva told me she would discuss the issue with her team and respond with a resolution. It's Wednesday 10/27 and I am still waiting for response. I expected a Fresh Shipment of 6 pounds of Medium Stone Crab Claws or a complete refund of $186.00 to be the resolution to this issue. Unfortunately, I had to dispute the purchase through my credit card company. As an owner of a business I clearly understand mistakes are made and the business should always do right by their customers. The mistakes are generally not frequent or you would not be in business.
