People... An art deco styled, dimly lit, underground basement intimate nightclub has arrived here IN HIALEAH!! This brilliant brainchild of Philip Muñoz is like being transported to a depression era club from the 1930's. Superbly decorated down to the smallest details, this club is for aficionados or anyone who would enjoy a truly transformative experience. The club is intimate in size, so reservations are recommended. You will enter through a side "secret entrance" then greeted, carded, and led downstairs. The drinks are innovative and a delicious experience for the palette. Served in beautiful glass, they average around $20-$25 each but well worth it. We went on a Friday which is jazz night. The 3-piece band "with no name" was incredible!! They played innovative jazz interpretations of covers, as well as some traditional Cuban. The bartenders, like Francisco, were superb with their friendliness and skills at shaking up delectable concoctions to imbibe and savor. Ladies, you HAVE to go to the powder room... Just beautiful. You'll want to just stay in there and relax. Take in the details: the green glass lamps hovering the bar, the wallpaper studded with framed icons of the past, the ceiling tiles, and just the entire collection of sights and sounds that make you think for the time being that you are in a prohibition day secret club in Chicago or New York. I understand Thursday is Karaoke night. I'll have to check that out but jazz night was memorable. Dress up a bit (suggested and encouraged) and bring your desire to experience a...

Parking was just kinda odd. They blocked the parking with cones. So its kind of odd you have to like move them and then park. I don't know if that's like the norm. And then you look for the door with the gaint 9, wait for security, they ID you at the door. You literally go down the stairs, SO cool!

Decent happy hour signature drinks were 50% off. I was surprised for 8 drinks and two appys were $180.

Loved that the drinks had like descriptors as far as flavors.

We went for happy hour the drinks were very good. Bartender was super friendly and hilarious. The security guard was able to get us some seats at the bar. Definitely make reservations on the weekend. It was small intimate you could still hear the people next to you.

The only thing the food was like below average bar food. We got the tequenos and truffle fries. I wish they could do like more sophisticated appetizers that could pair with the drinks. The food available was basically all fried, not really fresh/bright ingredients.

The vibes were it though, theme is on point ! Definitely excited to go back!

Also fun fact apparently the strip club above the bar is still a thing, they open...

9 Feet Under was actually my first speakeasy experience and it honestly did not disappoint! I discovered them on instagram and am so glad I did. One of my friends and I ended going here for a mini birthday celebration and we had the best time! We ordered some light bites but didn’t have the highest expectations of them and they were pretty decent, nothing special lol. And although we didn’t sit at the bar, the bartender Francesco took our order and was personally delivered the drinks and can I just say how delicious they were?!! đŸč.. I was a bit indecisive so I had him recommend some options to me based off my taste palette and he did such a good job on all my drinks! It’s also good to note that we came during happy hour which made things me more affordable lol. I would definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!
