Shanghai Bistro — Restaurant in Miami Township

I’m a Chinese food snob. I don’t like Americanized Chinese food because I grew up with neighbors who cooked authentic Chinese food and I’ve also done food travel in both nyc and Chicago where there is tons of delicious real Chinese food.

Shanghai bistro hangs with the best and is my top choice in Cincinnati for Chinese food. The prices are extremely reasonable. The quaint mom and pop energy is endearing. And the food always hits.

From the unique take on crab Rangoon (they do it as a cannoli!) to the Shanghai flatbread, drummetes, and spicy boneless chicken, everything here is unique, fresh and delicious.

Having lived in China for 8-years, I had no hope of finding “decent” Chinese food, especially not in Little Miami Township.

Shanghai Bistro is a gem - an easy to overlook treasure! One of my children has severe food allergies and Sandy (hostess & server) goes out of her way to ensure all food is safe for my child. She also makes sure to add extra fortune cookies as they are also safe for my child.

Honestly, you cannot find a better lunch (cost, portion size, taste and quality) anywhere in Greater Cincinnati.

Driving through eastern Cincy, we saw the reviews and stopped in for dinner. The inside is small and simple, but the staff were so very pleasant and we had some of the best Asian food we've ever had. The cup of egg drop soup is generous, more like a bowl, and was very tasty. The veggies in the rice dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked - crisp and not overdone.
