The food is amazing for sure. Customer service, not so much. The first time I ate here was when they were still outside the bank downtown Miamisburg. It wasn't busy at all and people were coming and ordering after us and getting their food before us. Ok no big deal. After waiting 30 minutes for our to go order I asked the cook when our food would be ready and he asked for the name. I gave him our name and he said that it had been ready for a while, and they "forgot" to call our name. That was crazy to me because he looked at us several times when serving other people at the window and never asked if we had been served or not. I let that one go. So tonight we tried it again and the experience just topped it off for me. There is absolutely zero customer service in this place. I walk in to get my pickup order that I prepaid for online and all I got were blank stares from the people behind the counter. Not a "hi, how ya doing, or can I help you" to be heard. So I tell the girl at the register that I'm picking up an order and she says it should be coming right up. I step back and patiently wait for my order. When my order is done and bagged I take the order and tell them all thank you and to have a good evening. No response at all. We use our manners in here in Miamisburg and if you want people to keep coming back to your restaurant you need to have good customer service. My only food complaint is that $3 for less than a cup of corn is ridiculous. I wouldn't even consider that a side item. Sadly we won't be back to this establishment, which is unfortunate because it has so much potential. Edited to put one star for the way he has been...
Read moreUpdated from a 4* to a 1* because of the owners response. They seem to have issues with a tiny bit of criticism. Not a good look for a business. Original review First and most importantly, the food is good. We had the steak Philly cheese steak as well as tacos. The cheese steak was very flavorful with the works. The chicken taco was pretty good but I think I'll stick with the cheese steak. The service however... Needs work. This was our first visit. When you first walk in, it's an open area with tables on the left and cash register counter to the right. We sat down thinking someone would come grab our order. After about 10 minutes, another table informed us that we actually have to go place the order at the counter. At no time, did anyone working the counter tell us we had to order at the counter nor was there any signage. Okay so we go to the counter to place our order and a gentleman took my order. Done. I did not order anything for myself because we hadn't tried anything there, so I didn't want to purchase 2 sandwiches for us and not like them. We get our food and it was good, so I go up to order another sandwich. This is when I encountered the female worker. She wasn't as friendly as the previous guy but okay. Was putting in my order and felt a little rushed or like I was bothering her. All in all, food is good. I just think there should be a sign stating that you order at the counter, then have a seat. I'm sure we aren't the only new customers that...
Read moreHad this place for the first time Friday, after making a Dayton Foodies post asking who had the best Birria in town. The overwhelming answer was: More Than A Apron LLC. After trying Friday, I went back Saturday and got the same thing: Beef Birria tacos. The only reason I haven't gone back since is because they aren't open on Sundays and Mondays. I'm going back this evening after work, that is how good this place is. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, you get a family feel when you're here. The woman working the front is really nice, and it seems all-around like a great place to want to support! Definitely going back for dinner tonight.
UPDATE
I see a handful of reviews about the customer service and wait times. Honestly, please do NOT believe them. Everytime I've been here, the place has been busy with customers and you can tell the team is busting their behinds to make every order perfect. If you want fast food, you know where to go. This is not fast food. It's made my heart, soul, and care. Isn't good food worth waiting for?
Btw - if you call ahead, there's a good chance it'll be ready by the time you get there. I've only had to wait when I place my order at the counter, like every other restaurant.
This place does it right, and no amount of negative reviews are gonna hurt this business. It's laughable to even consider people having something to complain about here. Go try it - worth every...
