Canal Run Dog Park — Attraction in Miamisburg

Giving one star only because there's no indication anywhere that this is a MEMBERSHIP ONLY dog park. Due to having a lack of website, and simply basing everything off of reviews, this park seemed like a perfect place to bring the dog I am temporarily dog sitting. That way not only did he get some energy out (since he could run around without a leash) but also could interact with other dogs in an area that allowed for small breed, large breed, and no weight at all. And honestly looking at the park it is very pretty and seems to be very well kept. However, there needs to be some indication somewhere that this park requires a membership! Also I don't understand why you can't but a day/temp pass and just upload a picture of their up to date tags? Not everyone wants to pay $20 for an annual membership especially if they don't live in the area and can't use it frequently. Sadly wasted 30 min driving out here for nothing but at least the pup...

It's nice to know that when my service dog passes her CGC, CGCA, CGCU, and passes a Public Access Test she'll still be denied entry just because she isn't spayed. I will be relying on her for mobility reasons meaning if she gets spayed, there is a greater risk for a decrease in bone density and she will have a shortened career. You can't use a mobility dog if their bones aren't sound. My dog is more well-behaved than most pets already and will be the perfect picture of dog behavior when she passes her needed tests. Like I get what y'all are trying to do, but blanket rules aren't...

NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!

Updating a previous review to 5 stars because this is now no longer a members only dog park. This is a great facility with lots of space for the dogs to run. There are multiple areas to choose from and all the dogs are friendly. There is rarely mud and the grass and park in general are well maintained. It is also next to a park with a playground so it is super convenient to take the dogs and the kids to play at the same place.
