This place is very disappointing and requires some attention from the owner to get it back on track. Opening hours are not consistant. I drove out there a couple of times times myself only to find the place closed!!.
➡️I recommend you call to make sure it is open before you head out there even if it shows open on google.
The inside is very disappointing as well, no menus and no pictures. They have 2 handwritten lists in a very small print and misleading terms. No greeting nor any welcoming gesture from the person behind the counter, as if our business wasn’t valued nor appreciated…a bother even!!
I asked the associate taking the orders about an items on the menu, she said she didn’t know how they make it the food 🥲🙁!!
That explains why it is always empty I reckon!!! …you chase your potential customers away 😳😳!!
➡️ I recommend you research on google or know exactly what to order ahead of time because you will get 0 help as it relates to the menu!! Don’t expect a warm welcome neither😥😥!!
I am very sorry that this restaurant is giving the wrong image of what Libanese culture and food is all about!!
⚠️⚠️ I hope the owner reads this and takes action but until then my rating will...
Read moreFirst off let me say you can smell the food a block away! My daughter and was looking for a place to eat before we got on the highway to head back home and I saw the great reviews and gave it a shot, and it was well worth it! Everything was great but I did however give them 3 stars for the service because the girl that took our order kept referring to my daughter and I as guys, so I politely corrected her as she said it a 3rd time and said "We're ladies sweetheart" and she rolled her eyes a little bit but no biggie, we then sat down to eat and she comes telling us that they close in an hour or so, so I'm like what does that have to do with us and she replies well we have to sweep and mop etc and I reply were just gonna hsveca few bites and head out so she walks away and thst was the end of that! But on the good note the guy that made our food was really nice and polite! Regardless of it all I'll...
Read moreWe tried the chicken shawarma dinner plate, falafel, chicken lemon rice soup and the garlic sauce. It was kind of pricy for what you get and the place inside was pretty dirty and rundown. The chicken was okay, but didn't have much flavor. I did like that it came with fresh grilled veggies, but the rice was wet and kind of mushy. The hummus & garlic sauce (toum) is delicious though!
The falafel was just okay - kind of mushy and lacking in flavor. The soup tasted basically like canned cream of chicken soup with some lemon juice squirted in and then they added some of the pre-cooked chicken shawarma. Not the best.
Overall would recommend Chickpea near 5th & Wabash for fresh, delicious...
