Friendly's — Restaurant in Middleborough

Went to the Middleboro location both last night and for lunch today. The first visit a waitress came and took our order after we were there for a period of time. then the man who was supposed to be our server came over for our order 20 minutes later. Then when he brought our food he didnt bring utensils. Had to waite till we got another server to bring them. Today we sat for 20 minutes before we saw our server. Same thing. Half an hour later we got our food and no utensils. Eating salad with my fingers doesn't cut it. Bringing the wrong drink doesn't cut it. Getting another server to get ours so that we could pay the bill and get the hell out of there doesn't cut it. Seeing the waitresses being attentive to their customers while we got the joke doesn't cut it. The place was 90% empty. There was no need for this service. I have been going to Friendlys for over 30 years and have NEVER had this terrible service, not once but twice. I fully understand why the place was empty...

The food was excellent, the cost of the food was very fair, especially considering the quality of the food and the portions. I ordered the Chicken Tenders, and they come with two sides, I chose the French fries and Broccoli, (healthy portion of Fries and descent amount of Broccoli) if I remember correctly they only had two or three options for dipping sauces.... the Honey Mustard was excellent and the Tenders were cooked to perfection. They only had two servers, so there was a bit of a wait, the restaurant was clean and fairly busy, overall they did a great job.... with the exception being, I had to ask for the Birthday Cake 3x and the last time in front of the Birthday man, whom I was trying to surprise, but they did a fabulous job, bringing out the cake and singing with there entire staff. Arrived with my friend and granddaughter at 12 noon and waited 45-50 mins to be seated. Didn't want to disappoint my granddaughter that's why we waited. Only one waitress in dining room and she had to make her own desserts. Felt bad for her. It's a very busy restaurant so I don't understand why more waitresses wern't on. I ordered clam strips that should have been called clam crumbs. It was obvious that it was the bottom of the bag. Horrible meal. Said nothing to waitress because wasn't her fault. My friend got a wrap and my granddaughter got mozzarella sticks and ff. Those meals were fine but not worth it costing me $54 with tip. It was a belated birthday for my friend so made the best of it. Shame on the general manager of this restaurant. What a horrible thing to do to your waitress. I need to find out how I get a refund for the very pricey platter of...
