We visited Nellie Rose Restaurant in Middleborough with a group of six even though we did not have a reservation. The staff was very accommodating and seated us quickly. Later, two more friends joined us, bringing our group to eight. The table had an extension that made it easy to fit everyone comfortably, which was perfect. Our waitress, Rachel, was amazing. She had a great attitude, was friendly, and handled our large group with ease. She kept up with our drink orders from start to finish. We had about six or seven coffees at the table, and she stayed on top of refills the whole time. She even offered to get us coffees to go at the end, which was a nice gesture. I ordered the steak tips cooked medium well with home fries, eggs, and raisin toast. The steak tips were cooked perfectly, tender inside with a nice char on the outside. The raisin toast was incredible with a light cinnamon sugar edge that made it stand out. Others at the table ordered omelets and French toast, and everyone said their meals were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, and every plate was finished. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for a table, which was reasonable considering how popular the restaurant is. Once we were seated, the food came out quickly and everything was fresh and hot. The restaurant itself had a very cozy and nostalgic feel. The decor fit perfectly with its warm, welcoming atmosphere. There was a beautiful railroad train photo on the wall that really caught our attention and added to the charm of the space. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The food, service, and atmosphere all came together to make it a wonderful visit. Rachel’s positive energy and great service made it even better. Highly recommend Nellie Rose if you are in the area.

We have gone several times and every time we go we are not disappointed. Pics are from 2 visits. We usually go early in the morning on Saturdays. Every-time we go, even though the place looks full, we don’t wait long to get a table. We have been able to get seated right away. The breakfast menu is very standard but with some twist. I like very much all the different eggs’ Benedict they have. The servers are very accommodating if you want or do t want something on your meal. Every meal we tried has been delicious. They have big portions, so go with an empty belly 😋 Try their Portuguese Eggs’ Benedict. They are absolutely delicious. The service is pretty fast in general. However, if they are busy you may have to wait a little for your bill. In the other hand, it’s good that the servers don’t come by you every second 🙂 They really let you enjoy your meal. This location doesn’t have a parking lot but it’s easy to find parking on the same street or nearby. We always enjoy the atmosphere and the decor. Definitely recommend 🙂

Had breakfast here this morning for the first time and loved everything about this place. The train theme decor is very well done; the waitstaff is friendly and good; the food is excellent. It’s cute, warm and friendly - great vibes. We waited about 5 minutes to be seated - no problem - there’s so much to look at on the walls and there’s a model train circulating above. It’s noisy - happy noise - people enjoying a good breakfast or lunch and good company. The staff is young and seem happy to be there. The portions are ample and the food is well prepared. The menu is varied - we both had Eggs Benedict - the hollandaise sauce was superb - and my home fries and my boyfriend’s tater tots were both super. I also had a super-spicy Bloody Mary in a mason jar that came with celery, lemon, lime & and olive. We will definitely return! Our new favorite breakfast place.

Nellie Rose, well, I have traveled alot, and have ended up calling Middleborough Mass my home. And throughout my adventures, you could say i have eaten at some pretty fancy places, and some places, some would deem scary and unapproachable. At first, from the outside, it looks a little run down, limited parking and small. But boy, when you walk in, your entire thought process and first impression of her changes. Nellie Rose, is absolutely beautiful on the inside with hardwood floors, beautiful paint, and a step down by the back seating area within the restraunt. So, now you have my attention I said to myself, felt very quaint, and cozy. Was very timely asked by a server, how she could help me, and at this point I'm excited. I said sit me down, I have to see what you have to offer. So she brought me down the step down, and sat me by the counter at a little 2 person table with my gf. Promptly asking what we would like to have to drink. So we order. No sooner than when she brings the drinks does she then ask us if we where ready to order. Now normally, yes I am, but I was still starting and laughing at the kids menu because it is absolutely brilliant. And I said just a minute. Flipped open the menu, jaw dropped, and my eyes popped out of my head, the food was very cheap. In today's day and age, food isn't normally cheap. To go out and get food it's normally expensive. Now, this is no Ihop, so it's not that cheap but in a sense it's cheaper. I got a plate with home fries, cornbread, and an 8oz steak, which I'd say is normally at 15$ meal. It came with something else to but I can't quite remember. And it was around 10$ so tell me how you couldn't give this place a try. So I get my food, it's on a beautiful, thick white deep dish plate. Cut into my steak.....omg it's amazing. Tried the home fries, omg they're perfect, I forgot to ask to get them crispy, so any breakfast place will make them on the soft side work they crispy them up if need be and you return it. And for soft homefries perfect. The cornbread was amazing. At the end of the day, Nellie Rose is a must try for anyone that eats food. Not even just specific kinds, anyone that eats food. Go there,...
