I have been visiting this McDonalds for well over a decade. From what I have seen as a near daily customer this store has experienced the most strange rollercoaster of ups and downs . A few years back there was a woman manager who always seemed very nice but I could tell was overworked and towards the end of her being the manager the quality and overall experience took a massive hit. Fast forward a few years she seemed to have been replaced with a younger male manager who was phenomenal and with him the management seemed to of been overhauled to a younger fresh group of staff members, he was very respectful and there was definitely change in the quality and experience for the better. Every time I was to visit, he would not only greet and welcome people, but really seemed to care for his customers even though they are complete strangers. I know he was overworked but seemed to hide it very well even with the circumstances of COVID.
Fast forward to today, the male manager I ran into at another company and continues to exceed my families expectations. But this McDonalds does not… The rollercoaster I mentioned previously, it’s on a track that is missing a rail and has crashed and burned. The newer managers are god awful, seem to not care about the customers and I rarely see them engaging or talking to customers similar to the previous managers. The service here truly sucks which is so disappointing. Two weeks ago I decided to go to the McDonald’s on Bagley permanently and that this location will never have my business again because I took my grandchildren for a meal and when I was sitting at my table waiting for the food I ended up waiting for 20 minutes. They then brought out very cold food. When I asked for replacements it seemed as if the warmed it up in a microwave. I spoke to the store manager I am 68 years old I wasn’t being hostile I was only explaining my experience, she was rude, looked very unapologetic, uninterested and told me that if she lost my business it would hurt her “bottom line”. Read moreI'm here at 9:30 on a Saturday and it is crazy busy. The manager here, (under 6 ft tall, grayish hair, male) has absolutely lost it and has to be making the work environment absolutely horrible. He is so mad that it's busy, everybody that walks in he feels the need to rudely say it's going to be a while for your order.
This guy has no business running a restaurant if he can't keep his composure. He is so rude it took everything in me not to punch him in the face. None of the guests were mad, we could tell that we might be waiting a few minutes.
It's so sickening to know that this guy is running a restaurant with employees underneath him who are probably having the worst shift of their life due to his negativity. You're not saving lives, you're serving food. Calm down, lead your team by example and treat customers with respect. we can see that you're busy.
If this guy hasn't already walked out on his job he seriously needs some retraining or maybe even reconsideration of his job title. I would be so embarrassed as an employee or an owner with a guy like this working there! unreal..... I do want to say that the food I ordered was great and the drive-thru line was moving, they were parking cars correctly and never really had the line stop. For getting your butt kicked the staff was performing very well and it sucks to see a man like this bring everybody down.
