So, I understand this is McDonald's and all, but they have some serious anger issues. While I typically do not frequent McDonalds (haven't eaten McD's in 8 or so years), my mom, two sons, and I stopped in for fountain drinks, I mean, how bad can they screw that up- right?! The girl who helped me immediately at the counter was nice, but I can't believe the attitude from the elderly lady and the manager. I actually got yelled at by the manager for a kid who was wearing no shoes- and it wasn't even my kid. At one point when I brought it to the other ladies attention that there was no more sweet tea and asked if they were making more (I made sure to ask kindly), she yells, "I DON'T KNOW, I JUST GOT HERE!". Okay.... so I gave up on the sweet tea. We were going to leave and the manager looks at me and says, "I sure hope he is wearing shoes, he has to wear shoes, it is a law" (talking about a kid who was standing at least 5 feet away from me, hand in hand with his dad). I'm like: "Are you talking to me, cause that is not my kid! I agree, he should be wearing shoes!" My mom (bless her heart) then tells the manager, "You're worried about yelling at her about a kid that isn't hers, but you guys don't even have sweet tea!" lol. The manager then yells at my mom and says, "I KNOW!, WE ARE MAKING IT!!". I get it, it is McDonald's. There already is a certain level of expectancy of this behavior, but this was insane. Like, Twilight Zone insane. I won't even get the $1 fountain drinks anymore at this point. I called the local questions and comments number, which led me to a call center where the girl said she would ask the store manager what happened. I at least got a good laugh, so for that they get...
Read moreI typically don't do reviews, especially for a McDonald's. I am so upset and angry with the morning manager at this location that I decided to give it a review.
I am a "frequent flier" and go through the drive thru every morning to get a latte before going into work. Today I chose to pay for my latte with a $50 bill so I could get change. I watched the male cashier put the bill away in the $10 bill slot. Sure enough he tried to give me change as if I had paid with a $10. I told him I had given him a $50 and he told his manager. I could hear the female manager yelling at him saying "Are you sure she gave you a $50? ARE YOU SURE SHE GAVE YOU A $50?!"
The manager came to the window and tells me that it is "law" to take out the drawer and count it (I worked retails many years, no such law exists). I told her that I had watched him put the $50 bill in the $10 bill slot and that the bill is on top. She wanted nothing to do with it, was rude, and YELLS "I SAID IT'S PROCEDURE TO COUNT THE DRAWER." I accepted that she needed to count the drawer because of PROCEDURE and not LAW. She told me I could pull forward while they counted or I could come back and get my change IF there was an overage in the drawer. I told her I'd wait in the lobby. She replied with "Fine, but it'll take me anywhere from 5-20 minutes." I was furious! Instead of saying "I'll do it as quickly as possible."
Turns out, my change came up. After waiting 15 minutes in the lobby she sent another employee to give me the appropriate change and tell me I could get a free drink next time. She never showed her face again and did not apologize for her rudeness or for HER employee's mistake and my...

Edit ...April 12, 2019... Tried it again after a year. Things have changed. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, it did. Registers are not manned. They have a kiosk system. I was paying in cash so I put my order in the kiosk and went to the register to pay. Waited about 5 minutes to pay. Employee didn't know how to make change. He couldn't figure out how to make $0.45. (a quarter and 2 dimes). I had to help him. Then I waited. I just ordered a coffee and oatmeal. It shouldn't take long, right? Wrong. After standing there waiting for 20 minutes, I noticed the ants. LOTS OF ANTS ON THE FLOOR IN FRONT OF THE COUNTER AND CRAWLING UP MY LEGS. Well someone went and got an employee. He came out with a broom and dustpan. Swept them up into his pan and carried the dustpan back to the kitchen area and set it down..with the ants. They tried to give me the wrong order twice. After 30 minutes I had decided to get my $ back but nobody was there to get into the register. Finally my coffee appeared. I asked about the oatmeal. 45 minutes later I finally left with my coffee and oatmeal. No bag. No spoon. Had to request the apples that are supposed to come with it. ABSOLUTELY, THE WORST! THIS IS THE DIRTIEST, SLOWEST RESTAURANT I'VE EVER BEEN IN . Why did I try it again? I don't know. I thought maybe it might have improved since the remodel. Nope. ...
