This review is based on an experience I had at the ice cream window 6/14. Having visited this business' page now, I'm not at all surprised to hear about the awful service here. I would love for this place to disappear so that someone who can contribute something of value to society could take its place.

I went for a run. I seem to go on these annually without any hitches (yes, you read that right, annually), but this one was just a series of unfortunate events that culminated in the misfortune of stopping here. I have never needed to stop at some random place and ask for water, but somehow I ended up feeling like a salted eggplant on a 90 degree day. Slowing to a crawl paced walk, I noticed that the ice cream window here had just opened. There wasn't a single person in sight. I ambled over, legs shaking, about to give way to the dehydrated being they were supporting, I asked if it was possible to get a glass of water.

'No, we don't have any carry out glasses.'

Assuming that they may have had legitimate glassware, I asked if it was possible to drink some water and return the glass.'

'No, all of our plastic glasses have our logos on them and cost $1.00 so...'

Incredulous with the fact that this is the first time in my life someone has denied me a cup of water, and understanding that this wasn't going to go anywhere. I walked the last half mile to my car and promptly stopped at the first place I saw to get some precious gold; ice cold water. Yes, I bought this one. Sorry I don't routinely run 6 miles with my wallet shoved into my sports bra or something.

I would never have wrote them a review for their food, but while I'm here I might as well tell you it's garbage. My family ordered once to support a local-ish business since we always order from Middlebury pizza. Somehow, they managed to create a barely edible looking round thing that was as greasy and abhorrent as their service. What is this supposed to be, New York, Detroit, New Haven style? It's like a two year old that loves oil cheese used these ingredients unsupervised on a piece of cardboard and stuck it in the oven.

If you live in the area and want convenient delivery, shoutout to Middlebury Pizza! Obviously, it's where I should have stopped and succumbed to my thirst to begin with. First time I ordered on Grubhub, the food was mediocre at best. I decided to give them a second chance since their reviews are good. Boy was that a mistake. Order was very simple Cesar Salad / NY strip medium/ side of horseradish. Not only was the order delivered 1.5 hours late, the steak was basically a piece of rubber, cold, the vegetables unseasoned, NO HORSERADISH (refused to refund the additional charge), the chicken on the Cesar salad was good, but the rest of the salad was a hodgepodge of old lettuce. Absolutely pathetic. The worst part, no apology, nothing. They charge $18 for a salad....I could have gotten way better from Vinnies. If you are going to charge 5 Star prices, give 5 Star food. Never ever again, and I will be sure to make sure everyone knows. I’ve ordered on Grubhub countless times from various establishments and never had I had a more horrendous experience. A rubber tire for steak and disgusting salad. How do you get a Cesar salad wrong? And then upcharge $2.50 for horseradish, don’t deliver it, and then expect me to pay for it anyway. First time here.....Ill start with the good. The cobb salad was huge and very fresh. The Burratta salad was huge and tasty. Now the bad....only one waitress for the whole place during lunch time. We sat in the bar area in a booth. Waitress apologized for the delay and interruptions from the phone, seating other patrons, etc. There is no issue with the waitress, just poor management to only put one girl on during lunch. Ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls...arrived to the table burnt, hard, flavorless, dry. Im not sure who in the kitchen thought it was appropriate to send them out over cooked and burnt. Another order was a Sicilian pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and extra cheese. We expected a square thick crust pizza. Instead, we received GIANT round pizza cut into squares. We were impressed by the size, but it had no flavor! The sauce tasted like an un-seasonded canned tomato. The cheese was bland tasting. Overall, it was just not good. It didn't even smell good. Spent 80 bucks on food that ended up in the trash. Maybe they where just short staffed, I dont know. I just know on first impression, we wont...
