I had a very nice early dinner here one evening, and the food was great. Both the flavor and the prices were wonderful. I had the chicken fried steak, and that came with two sides (I chose broccoli cheese soup and mashed potatoes). It was all very flavorful, and the soup really stood out to me as one of the best versions of that flavor I’ve ever had. I also got apricot pie for dessert. I met family for dinner and when we went up to the register to pay our checks, the lady at the register began lecturing us on conspiracy theories and other nonsense about the Covid-19 vaccines. He was served the order as requested with a smile. The clam chowder was good and generous with clams. I ordered a blast from my past, fried mush (crusty on the outside with soft corn meal center) with butter and syrup. The pies are the cherry on top. Homemade and delicious.
