Compadres left me a little disappointed. When we arrived they were nice and we were seated quickly. But then the service was not great, first visit and putting in drinks was a normal speed. Chips got brought when drinks came. But then after that it was quite a while before we were visited to order, and then it felt like quite a long time before the food came out.

Someone other than our server came out to deliver the food, we didn't see our server again until we were halfway done with out food. But we saw her visiting all the tables around us multiple times. I can't imagine we were forgotten, because we were kind of in the middle of all the other tables. So we just kind of fell by the wayside for our server I guess.

The food itself was, fine, I suppose. It wasn't particularly overpriced but the variations didn't seem to be doing much. We each got a Burrito, one topped with guac, one topped with fajita veggies. But the guac was maybe like, 1.5 tbsp just dolled onto one corner of the burrito. It was enough for one or two bites maybe? And the fajita veggies were the same. They weren't really "topped" with those things as much as they just put a tiny side portion of them on the plate. Then we were just left with pretty dry burritos. That weren't bad on their own, but for the price didn't feel worth it.

The weirdest thing was, once our server finally checked in after the food came, she asked if we wanted more chips, because we'd ran out like 30 minutes ago. She left, we were almost done with our food, and she stopped by our table again to ask how the food was, but she didn't have the chips. She asked then if we still wanted them, I assume because we were nearly done with our meal. But like, it had been several minutes since we'd confirmed we wanted them. It felt like she totally forgot we asked, right until she got back to the table to ask how the food was. Then I guess she took us very literally because when she finally came back with a small portion of chips, she didn't bring any more salsa to refill our basically empty salsa. So we just ate some dry chips.

All in all, I wish I could leave a better review. The employees themselves were all very nice. But the service all around just felt very slow. And the toppings and lack of refill on chips and salsa made it feel...

How on earth does this place get four stars? It is not in my nature to be a whiner or complainer. We started off with some chips and salsa that were brought to the table. I have never seen such thin salsa in my life. One dip of a chip and all salsa would immediately run off. not a bit of the chunks of tomato and onion you would find in another Mexican restaurant. Horrible. Next, the margaritas that we had ordered arrived at the table. I’m not sure what these drinks were, but they did not taste like any margaritas I’ve ever had in all my years. It was more similar to salt water than anything else. When my shrimp fajitas arrived at the table, they were accompanied by a small wisp of lettuce, some guacamole, and quite literally 2 teaspoons of sour cream. Watered down, runny, sour cream. I would soon understand why such a small thimble of sour cream. I asked the server for a bit more sour cream. Later, I saw that I was charged two dollars for the extra ounce of running sour cream. I ran out of the extra small shells that were brought to the table long before the rest of the food was finished. But, I dared not ask for an additional shell to avoid any five or six dollar charge. My wife had a similar experience. We will not be back and, for the life of me, I do not understand why...

We had a group of 7 and were seated in a back room that was extremely cold. I asked if we could move to the main dining room and was told we would have to split our group to sit at two tables. I was told “we don’t push tables together”. There were a few booths that were occupied, but the large section of tables was completely empty, so that made no sense at all! Grudgingly, they finally agreed to push 2 tables together. the first thing the waitress told us when she approached the table was that this was a one-time thing, and in the future they would not be agreeable to putting tables together! She said it just doesn’t work when they get busy!!! In the entire time we were there, not a single other table got seated in that area!!! With so many restaurants struggling, you’d think they would be more accommodating to keep paying customers happy! I worked in food service for 45 years, and another guest at our table owned a restaurant in town for 40 years, so we know what good customer service is. This was not it. As far as food, some thought it was good, some thought it was mediocre. Several of us had to send our food back because the sides were cold. First and last...

Mixed feelings with this restaurant. As we park our car, we noticed that it’s packed and we thought “this is a good sign!” It was packed for outdoor eating but the restaurant is very big inside and it was there that it wasn’t as busy. We were seated in a very cold area, we could have asked to be seated elsewhere we just didn’t bother. Our server was very nice and he did check on our table several times. Food wise, here’s my grades starting with the free chips and salsa. The chips were good, the salsa had good taste but just so watery. We did order a queso fundido with chorizo, it was also runny and we didn’t receive any side plates for the queso so we actually made a mess on the table trying to dip our chips. Our main dishes were tasty, but not the greatest. They were edible and that’s a good thing, but there was something missing. The Carne Asada meat seemed low quality, it was too chewy and thin, very rubbery. The Enchiladas with Mole were okay, but an hour after eating and I feel very yucky, too heavy. I had hoped for a better quality because of the reviews I read prior to actually going.

Great place for lunch. Complimentary fresh chips and salsa. Chips weren't salted. I liked it. I'm huge favourite of Mexican rice and beans. They did not disappoint me in that. I had tilapia from Mexican traditional. Combined taste of the dish was delicious. It wasn't spicy for me so I got the "Spicy spicy", that made the dish perfect for me. Veggie burrito, chicken burrito and veggie fajitas other liked them all. After a long time I had fried ice cream. It tasted good with friend tortilla, whipped cream and chocolate syrup. But the fried ice cream had more oil absorbed into the batter. Overall we all liked it and I will return to this restaurant to try more traditional Mexican food.

A nice, cozy place for tasty Mexican food. Tucked in the corner of a mini strip mall, you might miss it. If the parking lot is full, check around the corner. Six tables seat 4, and there is bar seating for 10. All but one table was occupied when I was there. Some customers were clearly regulars. A few people stopped by for take out. House made tortillas and salsa are standard. The Burrito Fajitas was yummy, and I'm positive that the mango margarita needs another test. The staff is friendly. I had great service and the food was served reasonably quickly. I'll go to chain restaurants, but this is my kind of restaurant. It's on my list to visit, again, because I want to try other dishes.
