Brennan’s is one of my absolute favorite lunch spots! We were instantly hooked with the Rumson location years ago and when we saw the sign that they were opening in Middletown, we were ecstatic. I am in the store a few times a month and have always been welcomed before my foot is through the door. It’s refreshing to walk in, clean, and always always always smells delicious. The staff is personable, always makes conversation with my children and never lets us customers know how busy they really are behind the counter. I just witnessed a customer who was unsatisfied with her sandwich and spoke to the staff extremely rude, yet was spoken to with respect (that she didn’t even deserve in my opinion). Read moreBrennan’s Delicatessen has become a staple in my weekly routine—and for good reason. Their sandwich selection is outstanding, with something for every craving, and their online ordering system is spot-on. The ultimate cheesesteak is not found in Philly but by Chef Jose Andres in DC who uses a Banh Mi type bread for texture and caramelized onions. The major drawback to a Philly Cheesesteak is there’s no texture at all. If you ever had a Banh Mi Vietnamese Roll, you will be blown away with the complexity of flavors and texture.
I’m surprised given their sandwiches are usually well received by my coworkers...
