El Ranchero Mexican Restaurant 2 — Restaurant in Middletown Township

Overall a very disappointing experience. We will not be ordering from here again. We ordered $100 of food. Did not receive one of the entrees and when i called the restaurant the manager or owner said it was delivered and the hung up on me when i confirmed it was not. We ordered chips and salsa and we received two VERY small bags and two small containers of salsa. I wish i took a picture. No chips or salsa came with any of the meals. The fajitas were terrible with a white sauce on top and the steak burritos were chewy and very salty. The positive is only that the guac we ordered was decent. Got take out on Cinco de Mayo. Dinner order was ready within time posted in menufy. We got a chicken empanada, chicken quesadilla, steak burrito and fish taco. Chicken empanada was excellent. Chicken quesadilla was tasty. You can tell they make their own tortillas in house. Seemed very authentic. Steak burrito was also very tasty. Shrimp taco was excellent. Salsa was tasty, each kind provided. It also seemed like it was made in house. Napkins and utensils provided as well. Excellent authentic Mexican meal. Kudos! We will be back! So glad that Leonardo finally has a good local...

We ordered takeout for 3. The chicken soup was outstanding. It was unusual to see large chicken parts in the soup but it was the best broth I've ever had. The large pieces of al dente vegetables added to the magic. Spice level just right. The shrimp nachos were equally impressive. I enjoyed the rice and couldn't resist adding some to the broth. Best of all, we ate well and there's leftovers...
