Sirens Seafood — Restaurant in Middletown Township

Looking for a good seafood place to have lunch or dinner for a reasonable price? We'll, this is a nice spot to do just that. The oysters were a decent size for the money you spend. I forgot to ask what kind of oysters they were, but regardless, they were delicious. I got the New England clam chowder, and it was phenomenal. You could tell they make it in-house because it's not like this garbage you find at other restaurants that claim in-house preparation. It wasn't over salty! That's a huge red flag for me when a restaurant claims they make their soups in-house, and all you taste is the bottom of the ocean because they get their soups from a can. Lastly, I ordered the fried shrimp sandwich, and it also was phenomenal. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and their aioli sauce they put on is really good as well. I'm not a fan of crinkle cut steak fries, but that's a personal choice of mine and nothing negative against the restaurant, but that's what you'll receive as the fry side on any dish. All in all, this place was dope! I would definitely recommend eating here for all the Travelers that drive by on their way to the beach or for any locals that are just looking for a new seafood spot.

Edit:It's really really sad this place burned up in a fire. Hope the owners and the staff are okay and I hope they can recover...

Stopped in for lunch at this family-run place and regaled myself with the pan-seared scallops served with rice medley and blackened asparagus. Presentation of dish was classy, scallops were local fresh and buttery soft, sides were perfect complement. My partner chose the crab cake sandwich - a family recipe - delicious and yummy, not too sweet, cole slaw. We sat inside but there are picnic tables outside and even a miniature golf out back that they inherited with the place. Chef/owners were welcoming, really wanted to know what we thought. Could not wait to try Sirens. Went to order dinner yesterday. Was not even greeted or acknowledged by any staff for 15 minutes and walked out. I really love to support small businesses in the area and hate to write bad reviews, but to not even be acknowledged for 15 minutes is beyond appalling business practice.
