Huge portions, service takes a bit of a wait. The ‘hard’ ice cream (regular) is packed with pieces depending on the chosen flavor: good dark chocolate chips or pistachios or … Food color is used a lot, and so are artificial flavors and sugar. All is very sweet and rather has the taste of industrial ice cream. This is probably what one expects from a coastal ice cream store. We usually target more artisanal stores that use more fresh ingredients and more natural flavors, which is why I subtracted one star. But for those who anticipate and expect an American ice cream parlor, this is a good place to go. And the prices are very reasonable. There is some limited seating in the rear parking lot, but there are tons of mosquitos, so it won’t be much fun to have ice cream after the beach when the sun...

My family enjoys going to Polar Bear above anywhere else. The have some unique flavors which are great (my favorite is the Lemon Bar). Last night I had the Smores for the first time and it was very good, the family had a taste and they ended up eating most of it. The only drawback for the business is that it looks like it's closed most of the time, I think they would get more customers if they had a neon sign that reads...
