This is a wonderful trail. It is hard to find a nice asphalt trail like this one. The trail is quite long and has multiple sections. The southern section goes through residential areas and is quite rural. The northern section takes you along through homes as you make your way towards the eastern shore. It is very safe and wide enough for many people to use and pass at the same time. There also aren't many larger roads to cross. The best place to park is at Oakshades Park. From there you can head east or south.

A very nice paved 6-7 foot wide trail with trees and grass on one side and rocks, bushes, water and sandy beach on the other. It's wide enough for walks with dogs, children, or a stroller, scooters, bikers, and joggers with traffic going both directions. Dogs must be leashed. Rest area with bathroom at the parking area for Papamora Point. We had fun walking even in the constant light drissle on the way back to the car.

The rangers need to do a better job of patrolling for motorized vehicles especially the bikes with electric motors and keeping them off the trail... People should know in NJ riding an electric bike on a prohibited road like this can get u a 4 point moving violation in your DL if only the COPS IN THESE TOWNS WOULD WRITE THESE TICKETS MAYBE TIME TO WRITE SOME LETTERS
