First Time I’ve came to this restaurant. I thought that the restaurant itself looked really good and the girl working the cashers was nice. We ordered our food and waited for it to be done. We got it to go. I ordered two large brisket sandwiches a large, baked bean and the fried mac & cheese. Honestly, all in all the food was very disappointing. The sandwich was OK but not great. I’ve had better pulled brisket before the baked beans were probably the worst part of the meal, which was really disappointing because I got a large which was 8 dollars it tasted sour and , it did not taste anything like a meat filled Baked beans that you would expect from a barbecue place like this. The Fried mac & cheese was also very disappointing for four dollars. You got a couple pieces of what it looks like Kraft mac & cheese in a box with a corndog outer layer. It wasn’t fried it wasn’t crispy. It Wasn’t good It tasted doughy And looks like microwaved frozen food. I tried this place out because it had good reviews instead of going to city barbecue. I spent $60 on two meals. I made a huge mistake.
All that being said the $5 cookies were decent and the sauce was good.
Edit: I just read a couple review responses from the owner. So to get ahead of any response I may get (which from what I’ve seen are usually rude excuses and blaming the customer for a bad experience at the owners establishment), the reason I did not call to ask if anyone can make it right was because unless you have different food I doubt you can make it right. Also, I am putting this review out there because if I had seen more negative reviews I may have no wasted my money here. Lastly, small business owners trying to survive is understandable but the customer and the public have the right to good food and based on my experience and other reviews the food quality is consistently sub-par. It’s unfortunate because the facility looks great. If you had better food I would be a regular. Unfortunately that is not the case and others...
Read moreMy wife and I eat here once or twice a week. It is our kids' favorite food. His birthday is coming up, and Brent advertises "catering for a minimum of 20 people" and "all you gotta do is email or call us!"...Don't waste your time. Their food is great, but Brent is a slouch. We were originally given prices, and told to call back with an order/ head count (50 ish people). We did, the next day...Brent ghosted, and we tried for over 2 weeks to contact them, multiple different ways. After calling a 4th time, I finally got a callback and was told "we dont have time to do that, we are really booked up". It's still almost 2 weeks from now and what, you just don't wanna do it? come on man....Why on earth would I take my hard earned money in there on the daily if they dont "have time for us" on my kids birthday? super weird... Brent's reply is simply a lie. Notice how he's changed his story to say that we actually DID contact them? One step closer to the truth... Noone EVER said they ruined our kid's birthday, this is completely fabricated and ridiculously shocking. Where are the screenshots if I said that? (YOU CAN POST SCREENSHOTS ON THE SAME FACEBOOK post that you're using my name for advertising on, which we both know is why I came to your store. but instead of talking to me about it, you called the cops. noone threatened you with anything) you are so full of yourself and your attitude is absurd. We filled out the "contact us" form on the website, TWICE. We called for weeks, and came in on multiple occasions to get it handled. You never returned the calls, and you were never in the facility. The 2 days you are referring to is just since ive been able to get ahold of you, and im assuming after you had an employee tell you that we had attempted contact on multiple occasions. We changed his party from a Sunday to a Saturday just because you had told us the food wouldnt be fresh on Sunday, so trust me we know all about "making plans". this review stands simply because of...
Read moreBBQ was calling my name for Birthday dinner and we decided to try Brent's Smoking Butts and Grill. I order the Sampler and chose the following: Ribs, Brisket, pulled pork, tater tots, onion rings. Had to try the Chicken wings and smoke sausage as well.
My absolute favorite was the Ribs! Fall off the bone, great charring of outer bark and BBQ sauce was yummy.
Brisket let's talk about it. It was shredded/Pulled which I was disappointed, as I was looking forward to Sliced Brisket. It was tender, juicy and lighty seasoned.
Pulled Pork let talk about it. Pulled pork by its self is bland, but juicy. Definitely need BBQ Sauce to give some sort of flavor.
Same for the smoked sausage it's to bland for my pallet.
Smoked Wings I order plain with Hot BBQ sauce on the side. The wings by them selfs are seasoned and have great flavor. Definitely grilled, bit dry and really couldn't taste smoked rings if they was smoked.
Their BBQ Sauces are pretty good: Sweet BBQ sauce or Hot BBQ sauce.
I gave the Cashier my feedback before we left.
Over all Brent's has great atmosphere, friendly staff and plenty of parking.
In my travels I have dine at many BBQ joints and I love Texas style BBQ for flavors and nice smoke ring...
