Tried ordering 3 times. 1st time through Slice, got the 2 medium cheese and boneless wings combo. You can add toppings online so I added pepperoni on one and the meat combo on the other. Order got cancelled because it was "extremely busy". Okay fine we got something else that night.
Next night I tried again through slice, same order. Cancelled again. This time, Gia's called me and said I can only get one pizza with one topping and the other has to be cheese. I put the order in again and it went through. An hour went by and still nothing. An hour and a half went by so I called and they said the driver from slice never came, so I had to cancel the order and deal with Slice (that's a whole other story).
Maybe Gia's isn't meant to be, I thought. No! I will not let this deter me... here we are on night three. I call Gia's myself and place an order for delivery. Same combo. He says I can add pepperoni for an upcharge- no problem! Got the wings with extra ranch - no problem! My house is just outside their delivery range of 4 miles (4.2) so he's gotta charge me $5 - no problem, bring me the pizza!
Pizza gets here 1 hour later. No pepperoni, no extra ranch; not even a single ranch! One blue cheese dressing, cold pizza with wrinkled cheese, and a chicken cutlet cut up into pieces and tossed in sauce as their "boneless wings".
Maybe I should've taken all the earlier problems as a sign, but mama didn't raise no quitter. I will not be back, but yall may have a different...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered a meat lovers pizza and mozzarella sticks from Slice delivery. Iām going to point out that every meat on that pizza had a district and delicious taste! Itās like they really made an effort to make the toppings stand out. Pepperoni was a bit spicy, ham was sweet, sausage had a distinct sausage taste, but not fennel seeds like youād expect. The chopped bacon was thick and smoky. And the meatballs had a great flavor. Iād order a meatball grinder. There was sufficient sauce and it was a bit spicy. (I donāt like dry pizzas). The dough was thicker than Iām used to, but not excessive. And it was perfectly cooked. Not soggy or floppy. Iām not going to say itās the best pizza in the world because we live in Connecticut, but definitely worth getting it again, especially because of the quality meats. Usually you have to give a new restaurant a chance to get their act together. They already have it right. One reviewer here says she suspects people know the owners. I have never met them, and again, we ordered from an app. Iām leaving a positive review because the pizza was really good and I want to make sure they stick around. Attached picture is the next day. Sorry, I didnāt take a picture when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese reviews cannot be real. Sounds like all friends who have t really eaten there. I donāt know how you can make pizza TASTELESS- but this is it. Have tried a couple of times. Iām not sure how you can even accomplish that. Chicken dinners are actually pasta dishes and the menu makes no mention AT ALL that they come mixed with mostly pasta. Chewy chicken. Forgot salad dressing, forgot bread. Got two burnt rolls 2nd time we came. Convenient location and was hoping to be our go-to.
A small side of pasta served with a meal is different than something advertised as a āchicken dinnerā that was entirely pasta with a few bites of chicken. That makes it a āpasta dishā. Iāve had dinners from other pizza places and never had this...
