Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Middletown

Came here 15 mins before closing tonight and the girls were already closing up and rushing customers through the line so that they could leave at 9:30. Can someone please tell them that is not how a job works? Just because a food establishment closes at a certain time, doesn’t mean you’re supposed to leave at that time. It closes at that time for the customers. Not for the employees. It’s a shame that young people these days don’t know the value of work. Anyway, they were rude and basically threw my custard at me and my boyfriend and he dropped his leaving because he felt so rushed. The one blonde girl actually came out and made customers move so she could clean the counter. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Last time I was there they told me they can’t give me a tester cup of custard for my puppy, but other locations always offer it without me even asking. The girls here are so unbelievably rude. As a Sunday tradition when its nice out I always drive into town and enjoy Ritas Water Ice. Before leaving I checked the hours and opening time of this Ritas which states Monday - Sunday 12:00PM - 9:00PM (On the official Ritas Website). When arriving around 1:00PM everything was closed and there was no sign of anyone. I was extremely disappointed and even waited around for 15 minutes to see if anyone showed up late. After waiting I even noticed a sign on the window that says 12:00PM - 9:00PM Monday - Sunday. So I had to settle for sub par Bruster's and completely ruined my mood....

I am a frequent customer, who visits this location at least twice a week. Today's (4/28/19) customer service was absolutely terrible. I will never patronize this location again. The manager on duty was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful to the Rita’s brand. She completely disregarded my concerns as a customer, refused to exchange the product, and then belittled me in front of other consumers.
