El mariachi — Restaurant in Midland

Just left here and that's the last time. We ordered two plates with over easy eggs and the eggs arrived so ungodly overcooked like the guy set a egg timer to 2025. We told the waitresses and we waited for 4 more eggs and I'll be damned if 2 of them weren't the same damned way. So I wound up not eating. By that time, the other plate had worked it's way to a nice arctic temperature, so that didn't get eaten either. We asked for the manager and she managed to run to the kitchen and hide while she sent the waitresses to tell us that we had to pay for one or the plates even though it was inedible and almost untouched. The waitresses was nice and understanding, but the female manager has NO business "managing" if she doesn't understand the parameters of her job which is not sitting at the bar eating. Also, perhaps they can find someone that can cooks eggs better than a 2 of 8 ratio. He cooks eggs like bronny james...

Our food was cold. The waitress couldn't hear anything we asked for. She brought us the wrong tortillas. We had asked for flour and she brought us corn tortillas. And then decided to tell us we were wrong and she brought the right tortillas , and say we had asked for corn tortillas which was incorrect. I know what we asked for. We usually come here every other Sunday, but the last three Sundays ,the food has not been that great. We asked for a cheese dip and the cheese dip was also cold. Stopped in for lunch…the staff is very friendly and attentive. It’s a good little atmosphere to enjoy lunch. The food is better than okay but the salsa that comes with the chips could be better however you’ll get two different types of salsa when you receive your meal and both types are better. I saw other reviews about the additional charge if you pay with a credit card. I was charged a $1.25 more which unfortunately most businesses have been charging for CC services which...
