They do not offer points or bonus gift... They do not honor late check out... The room looked clean upon first appearance but while using the restroom there is mold in the corner by the showers... The showers don't have doors so water shoots out and you can tell when they clean they let it sit and accumulate mold... The towels had stains... The room they put me in was suppose to be king but it was a queen... The hallways and guest room had roaches... West Texas is hard to find good hotels but this being a new hotel shouldn't of had so many issues... Let me also ad while I was having my issues... A lady (Caucasian) asked if they were hiring front desk they gave her an application... about 10 mins later another lady came in (hispanic) asked for an application for same position... Now they say only hiring for house keeping... Things like that I do not find appropriate.... I feel this hotel will not prosper far with the current management... Marriott should consider finding new staff if they plan to prosper in this area... Word of mouth goes far and none of my employees will ever be placed at this hotel again... I will see to it that anyone I do business with in the Permian Basin is also made aware of the lack of accommodations at this hotel... After seeing the other reviews I notice that my issues are ongoing issues and it is not just me so be very aware when staying at this hotel. Read moreDuring my recent stay at the Marriott TownePlace Suites in Midland, Texas, as a Titanium Elite member, I encountered several housekeeping issues that significantly impacted my stay. My expectations for Marriott properties, especially as a frequent guest and loyal customer, are high regarding cleanliness and service.
Initially, the first room assigned to me had cleanliness issues, with visible remnants of vomit on the side of the bed, dried up in the carpet, and on the bed skirt. This was not only unhygienic but also unacceptable in a hospitality setting.
Upon reporting this, I was moved to a second room, which unfortunately did not meet Marriott’s usual standards either. The room appeared to have not been vacuumed, and the beds were improperly made. A noticeable concern was the placement of the throw pillows, which are known not to be washed regularly, in direct contact with the bed sheets and pillows. This raised hygiene concerns, especially during these times when cleanliness is paramount. Additionally, the duvet was tucked excessively at the bottom of the bed, exposing the sheets more than usual at the top, disrupting the usual comfort and aesthetic of Marriott beds.
As a field engineer who frequently stays in hotels for work, and as a Titanium Elite member, the standard of cleanliness and attention to detail in room preparation are critical for a comfortable and worry-free stay.
