Taqueria El Gallo De Jalisco — Restaurant in Midland

The food had a funny taste and the chips were stale and the portions were skimpy. I ordered fajitas and i received razor thin cuts of meats that look like canned meat. Not impressed at all. Tea tasted old and the chillie had a sour taste like it was old. The the only good thing was the tortillas and the rice and the music and the servers who by the way speak No English 😂 I tried to order some queso and the lady said No sir no have that😔 and then brought me a bowl of shredded white 🧀. No refills and not that I would of wanted one and they never came to check on me at all. They were to busy talking to all the single young Mexican guys 😂 over all this is definitely Not a spot you want to try unless your feeling adventurous. Disgusting food if you could call it food 😂. Waitress gave a horrible attitude the entire time. You can also hear staff members cursing from the kitchen so it is definitely not family friendly. I had to get up to pay and she didn't even know what I had ordered 😂. Then she complained because she forgot to add something to my bill. Lmao all I have to say is pay more attention next time because it is not that hard putting an antre, drink, and a side of cilantro in a ticket. Just and fyi the only reason they are staying in business is because they are in the part of Midland where all the oil field workers and construction workers stay and their isn't many options when on a strict schedule) If you have time to go somewhere else please do because this food is not tasty at all and the service...

I was in Midland on business from Pittsburgh and, being a fan of Mexican food, thought I'd try out the local fare. After a disappointingly bland "Taco Bell" like meal at a restaurant that was highly rated on Yelp, I thought I'd try a place that appeared to cater to the local Latino community. Upon walking into Taqueria El Gallo De Jalisco, I realized that I would not be disappointed. The simply appointed restaurant was packed. I ordered the taco plate, selecting two beef and three pork tacos, along with their excellent horchata. The food lived up to my expectations. The tacos were served with extra green and red salsa. The red was moderately spicy with a smoky flavor. The taco meat had excellent flavor. This taqueria offers soups, burritos, and a wide variety of Mexican specialties.
