I arrived there 3:00 am. I waited patiently to be seated. About 5 min. The lady who served the customers to pay their meals saw me and asked me something. I tried to show her my note pad on phone. Cause I am deaf.
She couldn't read cause no glasses. She had a man to help her. The man was kind. Asked me wherever I want to sit. I asked if I can that room so far away. He said it's closed. Only this area. So I accepted by window with booth seating.
He asked what I'd like a drink. I showed him my notepad typed down what drinks and order meal. I ordered a cup of milk. A cup of water with no ice. 2 pancakes 2 bacons and 2 eggs scrambled. He said ok. He immediately hurried to get my drinks. He did came fast service. Just mistakenly thought a cup of coffee and a cup of water. At least he got one right. Water with no ice. But I showed him. Eh. Just milk. Not coffee. With a forgiving smile. He smiled and hurried to get it corrected. He was good service. I waited almost 5-8 min for my meal. It was normal waiting. My meal came with a lady. She served me nice. I asked for a syrup. She knew as she nodded her head. I waited while I watched her. I saw the time went by. A min. A 2 min. Became 5 min. Became 10 min. Became almost 12 min waiting for a syrup. For my pancake. I couldn't eat not without a pancake to get started. My food got cold. I was sad I wanted to cry. I watched the whole time what the lady was doing she was busy cleaning up dishes and going to the stations for computer and cleaning the tables. She was in n out of kitchen. I waited watching her. Hoping she remembered me. For a simply a syrup for a mere 30 second or a min of her time. Service. Nope. I didn't get that. I watched the man. He was busy too but he paid attention to the other 2 customers. The restaurant wasn't even packed it was only 3-4 table covered by small numbers of people. I was only myself. Just needed a time alone to seek God and study His Words and enjoy my meal. Sighs. The other lady who tried to talk to me who couldn't read saw me but said nothing kept busy with other customers and didn't check on me. I asked myself who's the manager? I suspected maybe her cause the way she dressed uniform. Still I was not immediately checked on right away for a pancake syrup. Oh well. I was hoping this I20 IHOP would be better than the loop 250 IHOP. Cause of my experience long ago. I got food poisoned there in 2006-2007 one time. It was an agony for a week half. So I avoided IHOP all this time. I was hoping this I20 IHOP would be better cause they are newer than other one who was first settled. Unfortunately the first service from the man did good. The ending service was bad. She saw me and said ok when I said you forgotten my syrup. She didn't apologize or say it will be free and cover me. She only willing to get it cooked. I asked for fresh. Afraid she would had it microwaved. Alike some restaurant would. I had experienced alot for years. Learned from chef Ramsay and other famous chefs. Knew what to expect. She brought it over. It looked like almost the same. The pancakes was new. The eggs scrambled was suspicious. Did the old eggs stayed and the new eggs be served on top of it to cover the cost of loss? I checked the bacons. Of course it wasn't freshly cooked. It was the same served bacons before. You can tell. I was very sad disappointed. I was hungry. Hoping to have a good meal with my Bible study. Oh well. I wrote a note explaining. To the man what had happened. He read and was surprised and smiled he understood. I said in the note the man was fast service. The lady wasn't. In the middle. Till the end. She tried to make it up. But no apologies no check on me right away if it was good. Instead I received none. This is hard to review honestly. But I do understand. Everyone has flaws. And that everyone do serve well too. All I can do is be politely apologize when I didn't need to. But to sincerely say I can't eat here. I lost my appetite. I'm gonna go. Oh well. Got to move on. Try another restaurant for a best breakfast service and a good...
Read moreThis is by far this worst IHOP I've ever visited. I pulled up and the lightening was so dim inside I thought the place was closed. I wish I hadn't checked the door to find out it was opened. Because I have not had this bad of service, that I can remember.
I pretty much always eat the same thing when I go to IHOP. Most of their locations have a Cob style Spinach salad I like and I'm terrible about eating my greens. I had been eating fast food for over a week and wanted to get some greens in. Since I know what I want I told the waitress I wanted the Spinach salad they have with the bacon, chicken breast and avocado. This always has the waitress usually know exactly what I want. I said to leave the menu because I may order something else also. To drink I asked for water.
While waiting I went to the rest room and came out to my table. There sat a plate full of spinach with some flakes of cheese and a chicken breast on top. No avacado, no bacon, none of the other stuff that usually comes on it. The menu was gone and no drink (not even a glass) was at the table. I went to the waitress and said something. She told me they had no Spinach salad and said oh they missed the adovocado. I'll see it get brought out. I said OK can I get the water too? She said yes.
20 minutes go by and I haven't seen any employee. I was hungry and had to go to work. So I ate what was there. Then when I finally did see the waitress I requested the strawberry crepes and cream. She brought out a single strawberry desert crepe with no cream, like 25 minutes later.
I told her I ordered the strawberry and creme crepes and not the desert crepe. She says oh sorry about that and walks off. I qas still hungry and had to leave. So I ate it. I asked for the bill. She said OK and then came back around saying can you follow me to the front.
I get the bill and I got charged for extra avocado, but never got it. I told her I didn't get it. She had to go get someone else to take it off the bill for me. When the other person came I told them what I was unhappy with. No offer was made to correct anything. Nothing. Skip this...

First of all the truck parking is nice to have but be careful drivers, if cars are full in there I would not pull through there you might not be able to get out
Nobody upfronts initially to see us, dirty silverware (after the third set I said screw it and cleaned them off with a lemon......... Ridiculous)
This next complaint is more of a societal issue but I ordered hot tea with a little milk on the side (this is the British way of drinking tea) now I know this is America and I am an American myself but a place such as IHOP should know how to accommodate a proper cup of tea...... It came out with a full glass of milk in a normal glass (difficult to pour into tea) pretty sure I paid for a hot tea and an entire glass of milk (although I don't know this because it was not itemized at all and I absolutely overpaid for the meal because there was an issue with substituting sausage for bacon as well and I'm pretty sure they just went ahead and charge me double on bacon.......)
I basically paid $24 for the 2x2x2 meal before tip now granted, I did add an additional egg and I ordered a hot tea. At most the meal should have been $15 before tip......
Anyways, I ended up still leaving a decent tip because the waitress was nice but I don't think IHOP is really going in the right direction the last few times I've been to ihop the service has been kind of weird and I travel across the country and I've noticed this across the board...... I will say though the food still tasted great
I probably sound like a whiny person or whatever but the fact of the matter is I ordered a certain meal and was made to feel like I was making things complicated and left feeling like I was the bad guy somehow. Just wanted what I ordered and preferably with clean silverware...... (I would like to point out that I did not say a word to the staff about any of this but I shouldn't have to in the...
