The food is decent but a bit pricey. I've even paid extra for add ons or sauces that I never got. Calling in for curbside pickup is a joke. I've done that twice, only to have to come in after sitting in my car for half an hour after they forgot about my order. Once my food was done, they just forgot to bring it out and the other time they just forgot to put the order in entirely. My issue is that the service is way too hit or miss. Sometimes, I'm lucky and get someone with a great attitude but more likely I get someone who seems either just apathetic or angry that they work there. There is one young man in particular who acts as if customers are ruining his day just by coming in. There are a few other comments regarding this employee and honestly, he is the main reason I will never be back. The last straw is when an older gentleman complained that his order had been messed up. This employee stood at the front counter rolling his eyes and muttering under his breath. I was sitting at the front counter waiting for my to go order so I saw and heard everything. To not only be unbelievably rude to an older patron over a mistake that he made but to complain in front of another patron at that....yeah, I'll spend my money at an establishment where there is a bit more respect for...
Read moreMy son and I had lunch for the first time today at the Boomarang Diner on 15th Street in Midwest City, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. My burger was not dressed as I ordered, so it had to be sent back. I asked for mayonnaise, but got mustard. When the burger was brought back out, I could tell that the mustard had been wiped off and mayonnaise was put on top of it. I could see mustard in places on the bun, and I could also taste it. Both of our burgers were also dry and barely warm, and tasted like they had been sitting for while. The fries were also barely warm. Nothing was hot at all. Our waitress came to our table twice - once to bring our burgers, and a second time to bring my replacement burger. She never came back to check on drink refills, or to ask if everything was alright after that, which it wasn't. We've eaten at the Boomarang Diner in Pryor, OK numerous times, when we lived there, and the food was always great. That wasn't the case at the Boomarang Diner in Midwest City. Also, this diner should consider coming down on the price of their drinks, as we paid nearly $5 for two drinks and were never offered refills. The atmosphere is why I gave two stars, but the food and service definitely weren't worthy...
Read moreSadly, this location hurts the brand. We love Boomerang. We ordinarily go to the ones in McLoud, Choctaw, Shawnee and even Bethany on occasion. This was our first time at the MWC location.
We ordered the Chicken fried steak sandwich. I think they have their own name for it, but it's always good. Not real hungry We said we would split it.
Very long wait, so that killed the "good food fast" motto. Then we had to wait for silverware and the extra plate we had asked for at ordering.
Utensils came but no plate. We asked again and she sweetly admitted she forgot.
I guess she didn't want us to wait long for the plate so she grabbed it, and another order.
To hold it all she put the plate under her arm with the dining side against her shirt! And tucked it up into her arm pit!!!
I ate my half off of napkins instead of a plate. We both sat there in disgust as we watched walk all over the dining room with a plate in her pit!
If they do that in front of people what is done behind closed doors?
We had an issue with the fries but we dare not ask them to correct it.
I still love Boomerang. There food is very tasty but never in Midwest City.
I could have, and should have taken a photo, but was so surprised that I...
