Edison Brewing Company — Restaurant in Mifflin Township

We drive across town to come to Edison whenever we can. I can't imagine giving this place less than 5 stars. I love seeing that the owner responds to reviews and takes customer feedback seriously. Since coming here the first time, I've noticed improvements every time I come such as increased and improved seating and furniture, and they built an INCREDIBLE stage. Every act they book has been better than the next. We saw Michelle Robinson Band last night and were absolutely blown away. Please bring them back soon!!! I would love to see some more cushion chairs and shade down by the stage. Another suggestion would be to maybe not use the 4 larger lights on the stage and stick to the small lights. They are a bit intense and don't make for the best photos. I'm not sure if that's why one of the band members put sunglasses on later in the evening. I would also love to see some fun mocktails added to your menu and maybe even some snack offerings or desserts we could buy like candied nuts, kettle corn, or ice cream cones. My live music buddy is unable to drink alcohol but we really enjoy going, and he would like to spend more money at your establishment. I only wish you guys were closer! I recently visited this brewery, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. The atmosphere was decent enough, but the service and professionalism left a lot to be desired.

While I was there, I noticed something that really caught me off guard. One of the staff members, a heavier set gentleman with shaggy dark brown hair, seemed more focused on enjoying his drink than on doing his job. He was behind the bar, clearly sipping on a beer while interacting with customers. It struck me as highly unprofessional and just made the whole experience feel off.

I understand that breweries are often relaxed environments, but there’s a line between casual and careless, and this crossed it. For the price of the beers and the reputation the brewery claims, I expect a higher standard from staff. Honestly, it felt like a lack of respect for both the customers and the product they’re serving. I won’t be coming back anytime soon. *Update to the reply I received from this business. I have never been treated by the owner of establishment worse than I had been here. He was extreme with a relatively minor dispute poorly and onesided. The waitstaff are rude, racist, and start trouble for no reason. Food ok, as far as the service the waitstaff made me have a disappointing experience. The venue-estically looking-is nice and the views were great, but, that's the only plus.

We were outside on a patio vaping nicotine and just lit a cigarette. A staff member came and said no smoking allowed outside. I asked what about vaping and I quote, to the word, "vaping is better but just go down to the end (of the patio). She did not tell the rest of the staff she said this. So it looked to the other staff that we ignored her. Then we walk in and are getting kicked out a short while later. What crime is committed there? Police? There's no sign that says no vaping. All they had to do was ask us to go downstairs to vape. They should be worried about kicking about the wasted people rather than the sober one's who went outside to vape.
