Since the closure of all Chinese American restaurants in Milan, we longingly awaited the opening of CHINA HOUSE in Milan. We went for lunch around 1300 hrs, 21 May 2018 . We were greeted matter of factly, but the party of three were shown a table rather huddled with others.
The fare for lunch was limited, and at that hour, the food was lukewarm. My experience in this city, is that rather than advise them of that fact, they will smile......Say it was fine, and never return. I advised them, but nothing seemed to fix the situation.
I am well travelled, and my son, who was with us, is mixed race Asian. We have travelled to China and know the difference between Chinese and Chinese American. The chef is from the PRC, and the sauce preparation was the same as Beijing except for the MSG.....which is a no no, and no other uses it in the region. We went home and slept a nap as a result. Was very good with plenty of moo, mushrooms, and gai, chicken. The other vegetables were traditional. Often in Middle America I see additions like zucchini and such which is fine for fusion but not for regular...
Read moreWent to try out this place on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. We arrived and we're seated at 1:30pm. Every single item that me and my girlfriend tried was ice cold. Crab Rangoon and egg rolls very chewy. Fried Sushi tasted rubbery. Noodles and sweat and sour chicken were cold as well. This is the only Chinese restaurant I have ever been to that I did not finish my first plate and did not go back for more. Don't waste...
