I went in this morning and asked for 2 dozen donuts. 1 dozen of the large donuts advertised at $17 per dozen. 1 dozen cake donuts advertised at $12-$13 per dozen. Once the items were rung up- the girl gave me a total of $68. $68 for 2 dozen donuts! I asked her to please check what was rung in because that doesn't sound right. She refused to look over what she typed in and said that "the large donuts cost more". She was also VERY rude from the moment my son and I walked in. I said to please put them back because there's no planet on which I would pay $68 for 2 dozen donuts. So BE CAREFUL when ordering from here! Make sure you are paying attention when getting your final total and double check that the price on the menu is actually what you paid. Also- there was an employee eating and drinking behind the counter while preparing and serving the food. (This is against health code policy. Many places do this and get docked points as it is unsanitary!). As much as I love small business and try to give as much business I can to smaller establishments- I will not be back to Milan donuts and am looking forward to when Humboldt Donuts is back open!
Edit to reply to owner: I was the only guest. There was no line! Just me. Your employee was eating and drinking right behind the counter when I was in ordering! It was not busy and the girl working your till was rude from the moment I walked in. I explained what I ordered and you repeated that in your response. However $17 for one big dozen + $12 for one small dozen does not equal $68. I won't be back to Humboldt donuts either then. She had only made two boxes of donuts. One box of the dozen large donuts and a box with one dozen small donuts. You are free to charge whatever you like. That's your business. However I will NEVER pay $68 for two...
Read moreI have been working next to the Milan Donuts for a year and a half now and honestly these sweet people are such hard workers. I swear every day they are breaking their back and still deliver the best customer services ever. Every morning I go and order for my crew and the owner greats me with a smile and sweet tone and says, âGood morning!â It doesnât matter if itâs when I go in at 8am or when I come in at 4am itâs always the same sweet greeting.
Both owners are super kind and the food is amazing. I usually get my regular sausage egg and cheese Croissant and every time itâs amazing. Me and my coworkers have tried almost every single donut they have over the past several months and honestly. We love each one. And donât even get me started on how much we love the sausage Kolaches. Even now my significant other is addicted to the Cinnamon Twists because I took him one time a few weeks ago.
I should also mention they have a large variety of different kinds of donuts like regular, chocolate, birthday cake, blueberry, red velvet, and more!. And they even have things like bear claws, twists, donut holes, jalapeño sausage kolaches, ham/sausage/bacon egg cheese croissant, and few more.
If you are ever in town I recommend stopping here and getting some of the best donuts you will ever have! And you will be supporting really...
Read moreUPDATE: My hub drives OTR & I go with him. We're ALL over the US & we try lots of donuts... NOT ONE has topped Milan Donuts!!!! You guys truly are the best đ
The "no coffee" review.....they DO have coffee! đ And to the one that supposedly had " wet & nasty donuts" I call BS. We've enjoyed Milan Donuts for nearly 10 years that we've been in the area.... perfect every time. Never a wet donut....what? Lol Weigh your reviews before posting PLEASE! These are great people with a wonderful business & DELICIOUS food ...a petty review of 1 star can be devastating, especially when not accurate.
Their donuts are fluffy like clouds đ Great variety to choose from....jelly filled, Bavarian cream, cake donuts and so many more. Kolaches are pretty amazing too. Nice place and...
