Let me start by saying I go to many Asian cuisine restaurants around the country and have a good grasp on what a good one is.
Firstly, this husband and wife team are running the one young girl ragged there taking orders, answering call ins, serving food, checking people out. Hopefully she knows she should be getting a wage fit for two people including all tips. If not she should leave.
Secondly, the penny pinching is insane here. The building is below bottom barrel quality with prices of a 4-5 star restaurant. Sadly the service matches the quality of the building considering the young girl doesn't have any help and I watched feeling sorry for her as she juggled 4 tables and multiple walk INS, messing up orders, taking them out of order, and forgetting food on orders. Mind you, I can't blame her, she's a highschool student basically running the entire restaurant. She's an accounting software program and two hired cooks away from owning her own eatery with hits much she was doing.
Lastly, and arguably the thing that caused me to write this review. I've always received, at minimum, one free serving of "yum yum" sauce at any similar restaurant. Here they charge you $1 for a small serving. A cup of water in a .03¢ cup - $2.50 here.
This may be a local favorite but I can only imagine that is true because they don't know of anything better. To be fair, if it weren't for charging for the sauce and water, I probably would've never commented because the food was still decent and deserving of at least 4 stars.
However experience brought it...
Read moreI went on a Monday at noon. It wasn't very busy but it had a peaceful and great atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing. The best cream cheese wontons that I have ever had. The sauce for the gyoza was very tasty and the gyoza itself was perfect. My grandparents also loved their dishes. The pineapple chicken was very delicious. And the peppered steak was perfectly cooked. All in all, this is the best Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I don't like to leave reviews, but this was so good that I had to give them credit. Their service was amazing. The only thing even remotely negative is that the bathroom is pretty small so my grandma had to leave her wheelchair outside of the bathroom, but that happens often in small restaurants and there's nothing that they can...
Read moreWe were excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews we had read. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. This review is strictly on the food. The Lo Mein, was terrible - soaked in soy sauce, a gelatinous substance coated the entire mass of flat noodles. It was horrible, worse then store bought, completely inedible. The Calamari was extremely tough, very bland, was not fresh. The broccoli that accompanied another dish was microwaved frozen broccoli, filled with water and not fresh or crisp at all. I would never go again, much less recommend anyone else to go. I'm not sure where those that have given this place great reviews have eaten before but this is...
