Iron Skillet — Restaurant in Milan

I ordered the chicken tenders, fries and salad. My husband ordered chicken fried pork chops, loaded hash browns and mashed potatoes.

They bring our food out, and not my fries. I mention that I ordered fries and the waitress said "no you didn't. But I can get you some" I told her no I ordered fries. My husband agreed with me. She again says no you didn't but I can get you some. She brings them out less than 2 minutes later. The fries were cold, and the chicken was dry.

My husbands loaded hash browns were hash browns barely cooked laying on top of a pile of green peppers, onions and grease. The mashed potatoes were still partially flakes. And the pork chop was so covered in grease my husband is now nauseous.

Mind you in all of this we expected some grease on the plate, a lot of his stuff was fried. However there should not be enough that it is able to pool on the side of the plate.

Aside from all of this, the place was packed and they had a lot of tables that were closed for one reason or another. So yea just paid $35 for a meal neither of us could eat.

By far the worst experience I've ever had at an iron skillet and my husband has been served a blue...

Honestly, it's okay at best. We gave this place a few tries and each time it's mediocre food with no flavor. They have a buffet that doesn't offer a wide variety of food and looks unappetizing... still gave it a shot and it was disappointing. The mashed potatoes are the best thing to have from the buffet. I'd avoid the meatloaf - pulling a slice out of the meatwater it sat in should have been my first clue to stay away. The veggies looked terrible- were mush and bland like most of the food. The chicken alfredo from the menu was very dry. Hardly any sauce and the chicken was even worse. I don't believe any of this food is worth the 10.99 price- maybe half of that price. You're better off just grabbing something from the connected gas station and carrying on your way. The saving grace is the staff seems to be alright. They attended to us as needed and were not too pushy. A slight wait for menus each time we have sat down, but otherwise no complaints...

The Fish Basket was horrible. It was covered with a heavy layer of corn meal and fried hard. Just terrible. I actually pointed to a different sandwich when ordering that was pictured under the words Fish Basket and when delivered it was not the sandwich, it was the horrible fish. The waitress knew just what to say as if it had happened before. She showed me the menu that has very fine print in the picture and told me "I was wrong". I know that the old attage of " the customer is always right" has been gone for a long time but there was a much better way for her to handle the mistake. I had already accepted the dinner as delivered prior to taisting it. I ate what I could and it was paid for but I will never go there again. She did not deserve the tip my husband gave her. I hope she donates it to the hungry...
