My family and I have been to this restaurant twice. The first time was very busy but the experience and food was great! Not a single issue. However, the second time we visited, the restaurant wasn’t very busy. In fact, less than half the dining area was full if that. Our waitress brought us the menu and asked what we would like to drink. We received our drinks and was asked if we were ready to order or if we needed more time. (Don’t ask for more time!) apparently, she felt we needed nearly 30 minutes to make a decision! We actually had to tell her on her way past us that we were ready to order. (Our faces should’ve suggested as much) We placed our order and noticed she wasn’t writing it down. I have worked in the restaurant business for many years to know, it doesn’t matter how good you think your memory is, mistakes happen. And one did. I ordered the chicken fried steak with two eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon and dry toast. My girlfriend ordered a skillet and a kids meal for her daughter. It took forever for our food to arrive. Again, I have worked the restaurant business for many years, this was not a complicated order. They were not busy. It was to the point that I told my girlfriend ‘they have about 5 more minutes before we get up and leave!’ Our food arrived shortly afterwards and almost everything looked good except my bacon was missing and they buttered my toast. Aside from that, the kids meal looked way overcooked and unappetizing. My girlfriends daughter didn’t eat it. Instead we shared our food with her as we didn’t want to wait for what might’ve been another 30 minutes for a new order. Our waitress did go back and retrieve the bacon order she failed to add to my order. I didn’t mention the toast, I gave it to my girlfriends daughter instead. Not only was this whole experience time consuming, we also had to get the attention of a different waitress who was cleaning tables to refill our drinks as our waitress had time to stand at the register chatting with another employee from the back and apparently had no time for us. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the last time we would have to wait on our waitress. We also had to ask yet another waitress if she could please notify our waitress that we were done and ready to pay our bill and leave. Not that our table with empty cups and clean stacked dishes pushed to the side didn’t suggest that or anything. This was the first time in my entire life I didn’t leave a tip, and I’m not ashamed to say that. She didn’t deserve one. So to sum it all up. If the food wasn’t as good as it is, we would never step foot back in this establishment, PERIOD! We will be back in hopes that it was just an isolated experience. I hope restaurant owners read these reviews and strive to make changes where they are needed and understand that a bad server can and will cost them customers. I’m usually a very fair person so if this happens again then I’m sorry, we will...
Read moreWe have never had an issue before until this morning. Who ever was working this morning needs to be fired. Gal did not seat us, we sat down 10 mins later rudely gets out drink order. Asked for creamer for the coffee snipped at us saying she was working on it and would bring us some. My daughter’s waffle chicken looked like yesterday’s chicken tenders just reheated. I ordered the 2x2 for my son two over easy eggs and pancakes. I got the meat skillet which super greasy, had hash brown, very little eggs and sausage was pretty bad looking like it was yesterday’s as well. I asked the waitress I think we were missing pancakes. She rudely said no your night. I told her I asked 2x2 you asked over easy eggs said yes, you asked pancakes were ok I said yes. You still charged for the meal and not just eggs. You made a mistake it happens. You attitude was uncalled for. You took my $42 dollars and it’s the first time ever rude service and horrible food. I tried reaching out on social media and no one contacted me. I hate doing this but how tour waitress was this morning, it will be awhile before we return. We were there around 7:15 am give or take. Hope you can...
Read moreThis is the first time we have visited this cozy restaurant. My husband and I, ordered the all you can eat walleye fish, hash browns and salad. For my 7 year old grandson chicken strip plate which comes with a small bowl of ice cream. The salad was fresh, crispy lettuce, wasn't crazy about the tomatoes but the restaurant can't help that. This was also the first time I had walleye, delicious crispy batter, tender flaky fish. Hash browns with onions absolutely perfect. But, the homemade bread with butter was meals 'cherry in the top'. They got my grandsons attention with the fries, he had to announce that he now likes this restaurant better than______, a hamburger chain restaurant, not to call them out or anything. The waitresess were taking care of business too. We had a primary waitress but the other waitress also was very attentive and polite. They covered the dining room using impressive team work. Good job y'all, new customers for sure. The value and selection does make it hard to choose what you want, everything looks good, I already know what I...
