If you're looking for the most authentic bánh mì in the Quad Cities, look no further than Epic Eatz in Moline. From the moment I walked in, the service was amazing—warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do.
Their bánh mì is on another level. They bake their own bread, which is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside—just like it should be. The flavor was incredibly well-balanced, with the meat making up just the right amount—about one-third of the sandwich—so the fresh herbs and crunchy veggies could really shine. You can tell they use actual fresh ingredients, not just filler, and it makes all the difference, especially when compared to other spots in the area.
We also tried the spring rolls, and they were easily the best in the QC—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
This is a local family business worth supporting. If you’re craving something fresh, authentic, and thoughtfully made, do yourself a favor and check out Epic Eatz. I absolutely can’t wait to go back and...
Read moreThe only thing epic here is the cost. The good; the service by our young female staff server was impeccable, very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food; the beef pho was pretty good according to our eater, however our pork belly bahn mi couple of pieces were sliced so thin as to almost be transparent. There were a few sprigs of fresh produce. The bread was nothing special. Everything revolves around the spicy homemade chili sauces or store bought seasoning (soy, hoisin, etc). We had 3 drinks. So, for 2 six inch sparsely filled bland sandwiches and a bowl of noodle soup and the drinks and an appropriate tip for service the total was just over $78. I hope things change. However, I’m not thinking there’s a long...
Read moreI had been looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant for years, particularly one that served bahn mi and when I heard of Epic Eatz it was like my wish was granted. For my girlfriend and myself I ordered the pork belly bahn mi and the appetizer sampler consisting of spring rolls, egg rolls, and crab and shrimp rangoon. The food was so delicious and authentic that I nearly teared up. The sauces they paired with each of the items were perfect accompaniment, especially the peanut sauce which is an absolute flavor bomb. The woman at the counter, Athena could not have been nicer and was very warm and welcoming. This was my first time eating there and it was to go but I promise I will.be back many many more times and will dine in...
