Sake House — Restaurant in Milford

I've been here once before on one of their discount days, but haven't been for quite some time since I don't eat out much anymore. However, I found out recently that they offer a take out option every day of the week and deliver on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. What's better than eating delicious sushi without having to leave the comfort of your own home?

So last night we decided to treat ourselves after a long couple weeks and put together an order of maki rolls, edamame, and tempura vegetables. We placed the order online with ease and waited. They use Beyondmenu, so you can order from a desktop, tablet, or smartphone with or without an app.

It was reasonably priced, the wait was a little long, but the food was excellent quality. We ordered on a Friday so we expected to have a long wait but it wasn't unreasonable; about 45 minutes to an hour but well worth it.

This is one of the worst Asian fusion restaurants I've ever had. I've tried many dishes as I do believe giving multiple chances in case there is a bad day or two, however, no matter how many times I've been here it's been terrible.

Anything chicken has too much batter, fried and soaking in grease. The general chicken was a disappointment, the boneless beef some how was flavorless. The fried rice was abhorrent, almost tasted burnt, and I cant say it was a one time thing, every time. The sushi is okay. Its the freshest tasting thing, but the fish itself doesn't have much flavor and the texture very soft, unlike quality sushi.

It makes complete sense why they changed out their images on their website with AI generated food. It's clearly AI but at least it looks appetizing.

Do not ask the front staff about ingredients of their dishes!!! Do not special order anything and expect to get it! We ordered from them tonight and were told that the only thing in the garlic chicken is peppers and onions, when we got it home there was more than peppers and onions including mushrooms which I’m highly allergic to. My husband called back and specifically ordered a garlic chicken with peppers and onions. When he got back he was handed an order with again more than peppers and onions because the kitchen knows better than us what I should eat. He couldn’t identify everything in it.
