Pretty good overall the only reason I’m giving four stars is because for their shaken espresso drinks the default milk is oat milk. And oat milk is so unhealthy. It is a glyphosate riddle seed oil liquid, and I think the default for any coffee drink should just be regular milk. I unsuspectingly ordered it and didn’t see in the description. It does say oat milk, so that’s on me for not seeing it, but I also Have not really seen any coffee drink where the default is oat milk. As someone who values their health and absolutely loves the equator uses Strauss organic milk I was upset and then I re-ordered the drink, and it’s typically customary if a customer gets their drink if they don’t like it, they make them a new one on the house. I’ve worked in the industry. This was at least the standard where I worked. But instead, the cashier knew that I was re-ordering the drink because I didn’t like it and still made me pay for it. I get it. The economy is rough, but having worked in the service industry I was a bit disheartened however, I’m still gonna go to equator coffee. I think they have great coffee. I just think the default milk should not be oat milk or it should be more obvious or the barista should ask: What milk do you...
Read moreA staple Mill Valley place to visit. Seems very popular on the daily with locals and visitors alike. I’m not a big coffee-drinker but I’ve been several times and can attest to the great atmosphere and pretty good food/drink options. Food options include sandwiches, pastries, and sweet/savory waffles. Indoor and outdoor seating available. However, because it’s so busy, if you sit down to the left of the entrance (opposite side from the counter where orders are placed), it’ll be hard to hear your order called. At least my experience has been this way where I’m waiting a while for my order to be called, finally get tired of waiting, walk over to check in with staff, only to find that my order is sitting on the counter but I never heard it called.
I got the veggie frittata sandwich and enjoyed it but generally, the food is a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion. The drink I got was fairly good I think but honestly, not very memorable/standout because I don’t really...
Read moreI just wanted some gluten free waffles and the only place close to me was in Mill Valley. I was so excited to get breakfast. This was my first time in Mill Valley and I left so disappointed. The whole vibe was off. They have all these signs on the walls about kindness, equitability, no racism, no xenophobia etc etc and I appreciate their effort but the people there seem so racist. It did not feel like an inclusive and welcoming environment, people kept staring at me because I was the only person of color there, they seemed upset that I was existing amongst them, the staff was less friendly, I went up to ask about my order and a person behind me was acting like I was going to cause a scene. Just the microaggressions...sigh. They seem to be living in a bubble, out of touch with reality.
Also, the food was not good, the macchiato was not good. Not worth it.
Zero starts honestly but I have...
