Update: I’m reducing this rating to 3 stars because they changed their menu to be much more limited. The laaazi chicken is very good but battered and fried, just like the sweet and sour chicken. There are no more fish dishes. The chow mein is not GF. We haven’t been back much because everything is fried, spicy, meat forward, or gluten forward (or a combo). No longer my cup of tea. Old review: 5 stars I absolutely love this place. I’ve eaten in the restaurant, I’ve had both takeout and delivery, and I’ve even been to the location in the city! The fish under water is fire (I have to get it every time), kung pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken are amazing. (When I had the sweet and sour cauliflower I found it to be a little one-note and just sweet). I would say I’ve been disappointed by the “jade rice” because, as you can see from the photo, it hardly has any kale. But the egg rolls, salads, and desserts are great. And so are the beverage options. Hands down, the #1 reason I eat here is not just because it’s delicious, but because of the better-for-you ingredients. Fish, grass fed beef, all the vegan options, the gluten free sweet and sour batter— this is a place where you can eat what you want and still feel great after. Also I find the prices to be super reasonable. I’m so happy this place is in Mill Valley. Please eat here! You...
Read moreI am incredulous that these reviews are of the same place we ate last night. We heard that there was a new Chinese restaurant open in Mill Valley. The place was staffed by two teens in t-shirts, who sat behind the counter as we seated ourselves. No one came over to check on us, and we had to figure out that we needed to order at the counter. We then ordered at the counter, and the credit card machine had helpful tips at 25%, 22%, and 18%. I stupidly gave them an 18% tip, before realizing we were going to get no service at all. They dropped the food on the table when all was ready - they did not bring the drinks or appetizers first, as any waiter in any restaurant in the world would do. The food was cold except for the spring rolls, which were very good. The chow mein tasted burnt, the portion sizes of the beer and entrees were very small. No one ever came to see if we needed anything, and didn’t even bother to say goodbye when we left. To say we will never return is an understatement. I hope management reads this and actually gives the teenage staff some training in how to actually work in a restaurant. I will be curious to see if this place is still here in 6 months. Oh, for the good old days of...

Let’s get started with this delicious foodie binge after biking all the way from San Francisco!
The Sweet & Sour Chicken House Special is crispy, tangy, and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, not too heavy. Paired with the Malted Milk Tea with boba, it’s a classic Hong Kong-style treat with a creamy, malty kick.
The Mapo Tofu with Pork Rice Plate (double rice, no lotus root salad) is pure comfort food—spicy, savory, and exactly what you need after a long day. The Broccoli & Beef Rice Plate is another solid choice, especially with the Mandarin Duck drink—a bold mix of Ceylon tea, condensed milk, coffee, and boba that somehow just works.
For starters, the Pork Poppers Potstickers are a must—crispy, juicy, and loaded with flavor, especially with that sweet and sour chili oil sauce.
Shoutout to the amazing tall blonde waitress—so sweet and helpful! I made sure to tip extra ; ) She knew every ingredient and made sure my allergies weren’t an issue. Service and high quality ingreients take this cute little gem to the next level! Can’t wait to come back, and maybe this time take the ferry...
