Very rude service. We got handed hot coffee cups while being expected to order at the same time. It confused me and I obviously had to hold the line behind me to go drop coffees on my table before I could order. The lady at the register started acting very rude asking if I’m bothered by anything and while I as ordering items in English she made sure to ask those in French to show that I’m not naming them correctly. After I went to my table I’ve noticed that the hot coffee to others were delivered to the table by the barista, and they were not handed the coffee like we did. Strange treatment. If the process is inefficient, all the cashier had to do is to be nice and polite, as the frustration was with the process and not with her personally, but she escalated it further by being extremely rude afterwards. Don’t be in customer service if you can’t be polite regardless of...
Read moreI have been eaten hundreds of salad nicoise over the past 50 years, both in France and the USA. Today at Le Marais in Mill Valley I had the most disappointing one ever. I had a couple bites, then put it in a box to take it home because I didn’t want the kitchen to feel bad. I think this is the responsibility of management who designed the dish and set the specs. I hope they get the message. On the other hand, my wife's croque monsieur was both beautiful and delicious. The ladies working the counter were great, but our table had crumbs on it. Please even out your...
Read moreWhen I say I was missing Paris I am underselling that. So finding a good French Restaurant just up the corner from me warms my Francophile Heart. A textbook Croque Madam, a Pan au Chocolat that had the perfect symphony, a perfect European Mocha , and the Classic Mimosa. Honestly my photos and videos can't give this meal justice. Furthermore I fell in love with every crunch of the bread richness of the ham and cheese of the Croque. Normally I don't like a runny egg but this paired perfectly with my meal. And normally I treat a salad with passive interest but the perfect! Vinaigrette , mustard spice and pepper made me eat every bite of the greens and tomatoes. Service was professional and actually very friendly. About 44 for my meal not...
