My elderly father in law, who is allergic to alcohol, was served alcohol by knowingly careless server. It completely disrupted our day
Father in law ordered a plain lemonade. After he was served the lemonade, the barback who delivered it came back to us and asked someone mysteriously and mischievously "does that lemonade taste funny?" Seemingly finding the situation humerous, though it wasn't clear to us what the joke was. We asked if it had alcohol, and he said no. Father in law said it tasted ok, so we kept the drink.
10 or 15 minutes later my father in law was quite flushed, having a little trouble with balance, and for the rest of the day felt pretty bad .
We immediately asked for a manager who said the barback had delivered an identical looking cocktail by "mistake".
To their credit, the manager comped half our meal and was understanding and seemed to take this seriously.
The barback however continued to deliver drinks to tables while we finished our meal. The barback also did not apologize. In my opinion, he should be fired immediately. A server should take food safety and food allergies much more seriously.
We driven up here an hour to hang out in Mill valley for the day but had to basically cut the trip short and head home...

Food: Tasted cheap. Several of the fries were not fully cooked. The pizza crust on my non-gluten free was burnt (not just singed, burnt), but the ladies at the table behind us had it worse. I would not have served them their pizzas as they were noticeably charred. My review does not take into account their food though, as it was not served to my table. It’s just a data point for others. The gluten free pizza IS NOT fully gluten free. The person I was eating with that ordered this got hives in their mouth. Luckily nothing serious, but it is obvious this place doesn’t take appropriate precautions and will not warn you beforehand.
Service: Our server looked and acted like she hated her life, or working there at the very least. The hostess and bussman were great though. However, just to give you an overall idea of how flippant the overall service was, they didn’t even set up the table with napkins and utensils beforehand.
Atmosphere: Really only major redeeming quality. This place is located in the Mill Valley Lumber Yard, which has a great rustic aesthetic. Great place to walk through, shop, and sit down for a bite to eat, so long as you can ignore the...
Read moreTo paint a picture, I’m a very laid back guy and am not the type to leave bad reviews. But my experience at the Watershed today was particularly egregious.
Our party of 4 (myself, my pregnant wife, and her middle aged parents) had only been at our table for an hour when we were approached by the hostess/manager (an older woman) who very rudely told us that they were expecting to use our table for a reservation and that we’d need to leave promptly. We were not drinking, being disruptive, or doing anything to elicit such abrupt and discourteous behavior from this woman.
The restaurant was less than half full and other parties around us had been seated longer than we were. When we were seated initially, we were given no indication that there was any expected time limit to our dining.
The whole interaction was just completely bizarre and off-putting. Prior to that moment, we were all enjoying the atmosphere and I was thinking how I’d like to come back and enjoy the full menu— but after feeling so unwelcome, I definitely...
