Ok. So this was a tough choice in terms of rating. This is a fairly new restaurant and as such will still be working through things a bit. I went with friends on a slow Thursday night. The service was very friendly and personal and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming. Food came out quickly. We ordered the crispy tofu appetizer, shoyu, chicken wonton, and tonkotsu (mine) ramen bowls. The presentation on all the food was beautiful. The crispy tofu was delicious, especially considering I'm not a big fan of tofu. As for the ramen, the broth was delicious in every bowl. All of the ingredients were fresh. The one thing that brought the bowls down were the noodles. I'm not sure what was off, but the texture was very different from ramen I've had at other ramen-centric restaurants. I suppose the best word to describe them would be "dense", which made them heavy in the stomach. This is what made the rating a challenge. Since they are a ramen shop, I would hope for ramen that's a class above less specialized restaurants. That said, the overall flavor and experience was very enjoyable, and I will be returning. I think I'll try a rice bowl...
Read moreThe place is so Beautiful inside and out. Only problem I had was they need a better snow removal company. However, as for the company and staff, all of which was outstanding. I had the wonderful pleasure of having Alyssa as my server, she was so wonderful. She made the brilliant choice of the machata lemonade for me. I had never been to a ramen establishment, heard of any or had any of the items on the menu. Alyssa did a fantastic job of explaining the items on the menu and helped me pick some items to have. I had never had Eel and she told me for never having Ramen that it was a bold choice. So I got the Eel, the mazemen, the shrimp appetizer, and the steamed chicken dumpling. I found that i didn't care much for the texture of the dumplings but they were still delicious. The Eel is probably my new favorite dish... Thank you for the wonderful...
Read moreGreat place to eat. Tucked away back in a nice wooded area, the atmosphere was very pleasant with a modern yet old world feel, almost cottage-like. The menu was straight forward with plenty of variety without being overwhelming. Vegetarian/vegan options available.
We enjoyed the spicy miso, brothless ramen and curry. All were excellent portions and quality for the price. Dessert was the matcha creme brulee, blueberry cheesecake and chocolate almond cake. All were excellent and unique in texture and flavor.
Our server was top notch. I arrived a little late so I didn't catch his name but the young man with the glasses, you did a stellar job. Attentive, perfectly timed and top manners. And from what we could tell all the staff were of the same caliber.
If you want some good noodles and great service, make the Wooden Ladle a...
