We have loved “El T” for nearly 3 years, going multiple times a week with our friends, but we will no longer be eating at or recommending it.
My wife called today to place an order for pick up. The lady who answered the phone was abrupt, and sounded irritated that we even called. My wife and I worked in the food industry for nearly a decade, so we understood she could have been busy- so we ignored it. We try to be mindful of placing togo orders during busy hours, so we called after the lunch rush, and before dinner (we called at 4pm).
However, when my wife arrived at the restaurant her order wasn’t placed. Yes, that is inconvenient and even frustrating, but no big deal. What took place afterwards is absolutely unacceptable.
They told her she did not call in! Not, “did you call the right restaurant?”, but they flat-out kept telling her she didn’t call in. Instead of correcting the issue, the manager just kept asking her who she talked to- which is completely inconsequential. She had no clue who took her order. No apologies, no attempt to make it right- just continual asking who did she talk to.
My wife was shocked so she double checked she had dialed the correct number. She verified it was correct, and when she showed the lady at the restaurant the correct number and the elapsed time on the call, she said “you didn’t call us, you need to check your cellphone provider.”
I’ll drive further, and pay more to support a business that holds itself to higher standards of integrity, customer service and...
Read moreGot take out taco, enchiladas & chalupa! Ground beef tasted worse than I imagine canned DOG food would taste! Dang people! Just quit serving beef, if that's the best you can do!
All of it was SOGGY by the time I drove home (20 mins.) NO CHEESE OR SOUR CREAM on the tacos or chalupa! Tomatoes were barely pink w/NO TASTE! Salsa & chips were good! We skipped the guacamole because it was almost $10 for a side of it! We usually get the tequila fajitas which have always been outstanding. We should've stuck with what we knew , but they were almost $30 for two people, so we went the combo route. Stay away from the ground beef , unless you like dog food is my suggestion. The staff the atmosphere and everything else is pretty nice there, but this was some nasty food. I won't be back unless I'm getting fajitas! I know their guacamole is good too normally, unless they've changed that too.
this was some nasty food. I won't be back unless I'm getting fajitas! I know their guacamole is good too normally, unless they've changed that too. It had been a few months since we were there and I know everything's gotten more expensive, but skip the...
Read moreMy family and I, have eaten here several times. We actually thought it was going to be our go-to Mexican restaurant. The other day we decided to call in a take-out order. My son and I ordered steak & cheese quesadillas. Should be simple, right?. Throw some steak and cheese in there. Well, his looked ok.. Had a decent amount of steak. Mine, definitely was pathetic. It's so disappointing to get all the way home and literally open your quesadilla to find a measly few pcs of steak. I should've just ordered cheese quesadillas. But, if you will notice in the pics, they hardly even put any cheese in there. Ridiculous !!! To-go order or not, they should take pride in the food they serve and send out that door. Whoever cooked our food had to see how much meat they put in there. That is unacceptable to not care how ppl's food is served. My beans and rice was very nicely portioned. But, needless to say, I'm not playing guessing games and wondering if we'll have a good to-go order or not once we drive all the way home. We will definitely be going elsewhere for our orders. I hope I can somehow post the pictures I took to show how pathetic...
