Food Depot — Local services in Milledgeville

This was the first of this store we have ever seen. Loved the place. Clean, well stocked, well organized, and super efficient. When we saw that every item was marked with a price and a note that the cost at the register was 10% more, we were amazed. Then we started comparing the prices and found every item we bought was marked more than 10% below the bog box store down the road. We shop at the big box all the time and buy a lot of the same items therefore we know the prices by heart. As we made our selections, we saw that the total was not adding up near what we normally pay. We purchased a quantity of items that we purchase each time we shop and the price with the 10% was about $12.00 cheaper than we normally pay. Impressed. We also found they have items and brands we can not buy at the big box store. I searched and the closest one to us when we are at home is in Dublin. I've never been a big fan of the chain, but I have to say that this one is at the top of my list. I'm really curious as to why the location doesn't have more foot traffic.

The store is always clean when I visit town. The staff are so much better than some of the staff at WalMart (where everyone seems to shop). I've been to other Food Depots and they don't always smell clean, but this one looks ands smells good.

I chose this location based on the proximity to where I was located as well as I had visited a competitor previously and between the smell and unknown food brands I couldn't repeat that mistake.

Extremely clean, well-organized store, very large. The pleasant surprise was the store was appropriately staffed for how big it was, every time I went there was was someone available to help in every department and every checkout lane was open. The wide range of stock was astonishing, especially in the foreign/international foods (Mexican/Hispanic/Japanese/Chinese) I found Mexican products and spices I had not seen since leaving Los Angeles back in 2002.
